Council sees sense

A 79-year-old woman has been permitted to tend her village's flower beds again after she was told to stop gardening due to health and safety rules.

Wiltshire County Council said June Turnbull from Urchfont, near Devizes would have to put up warning signs and be supervised when tending the blooms.

The parish and county councils have now agreed she can carry on, as long as she wears a fluorescent jacket.

Atleast the council has seen a bit of sense. The council was extremely stupid when they over reacted to this incident. She was doing no harm and shouldn’t have been stopped in the first place.

No trial by jury for fraud cases

The government is once again doing whatever they can to bypass any opposition. For a long time now the House of Lords has been the only opposition in Parliament. This is true with trial by jury. The government would like to get rid of jury trials for fraud cases. The House of Lords has so far resisted this freedom crushing piece of legislation that allows you to be judged by your peers however the government is tired of their opposition to their plans so they are getting ready to use the Parliament Act to force it through regardless of what the Lords want.

The Lords have resisted this for 5 years but it looks like the government is going to destroy our freedom anyway. If they stop jury trials for fraud it will just be a matter of time before they do it with other cases.

Muslims will be safe during Ramadan

Forced marriage and domestic violence in Wales's black and ethnic communities are much bigger problems than official figures show, it is claimed.

Delegates at a conference in Swansea working on a new action plan to tackle the issues were told many crimes went unreported or families hushed them up.

Official figures for the Swansea, Neath and Port Talbot area show last year there were 37 reported incidents of black and minority ethnic women fleeing or suffering domestic abuse. Fourteen were victims of forced marriage and seven of "honour" based abuse.

But Jasvinder Sanghera, who ran away from home at the age of 16 to avoid an arranged marriage and founded the Karma Nirvana refuge for Asian women, said the problem was likely to be on a far bigger scale.

This won’t be happening often in Manchester during Ramadan. The police have decided to patrol areas where Muslims live so they don’t suffer break ins. I am glad that they have decided to focus on Muslim areas afterall none Muslims don’t suffer from burglaries.

Most crimes remain unsolved

Our police are so bogged down with paper work that they have become completely useless. Five million crimes have been committed and of all the crimes reported last year, only 693,821 were punished using the traditional route of a criminal charge and appearance before a magistrate or judge.

In a shocking 3,953,000 cases, the equivalent of 73 per cent of all recorded crimes, the offender was simply not caught.

Even when police did manage to catch the culprit-fewer than half were dragged before the courts or received a formal charge.

Instead, they escaped with a caution, on-the-spot fine, warning for smoking cannabis or had their crime "taken into consideration" alongside other offences.

If you think 73% is bad then London has it worse. 80% of crime in London is unsolved even though they have 10,000 crime-fighting CCTV cameras.

Did they let him drown?

Many of you have probably heard about the boy drowning because PCSOs didn’t try to save a drowning boy.

According to Norfolk Blogger the story may not be as simple as some people claim it is. Apparently the real story is that the PCSOs arrived at the lake and upon their arrival they were not even sure they were at the correct place. According to the coroner by the time they had arrived at the scene the boy was already dead. He was also not within sight and could not even be seen by the two fishermen who had waded in to the lake.

One of the PCSOs then ran to the road to direct specialist units (fire, ambulance and police) whilst the other continued to scan the river.

If this is true then the PCSOs did all they can and should not be criticised for what they did. If this is false then they deserve the outrage that this has generated.

Home Office caught lying

Serious violence and murder near pubs and clubs in the early hours rose by almost 130 per cent in the year after licensing laws were relaxed.

But the Home Office omitted the figure from its report into the impact of 24-hour opening, claiming it was "not statistically significant".

Ministers have now been forced under Freedom of Information laws to reveal the missing data, which was simply replaced with a blank space when the research was published in July.

The rise of 127 per cent was recorded across 18 police regions in city centre locations or near pubs and clubs between 3am and 6am.

It covered the most serious types of violent crime, including murder, attempted murder, manslaughter and wounding.

Only the government can claim that increased murder and violence is not statistically significant. I have to wonder what planet these people are on. The fact that they didn’t include the data means that they knew what it meant and they didn’t want the public knowing.

Good news and bad news

I have some good news and bad news. The good news is that crime has gone down in Romania. The bad news is that all their criminals are over here which has led to an explosion in crime.

Increased migration from Eastern European countries has led to increases in knife crime and drink driving. Julie Spence, of Cambridgeshire police, said immigrant communities, often from the new EU states, had "different standards" from the UK which was the under statement of the year. One police force has had to spend more than £1 million per year on interpreters and they are crying out for more money.

They keep telling us that immigration is a benefit but how can it be a benefit when they are costing us so much? Immigration does not benefit the vast majority of people in this country. The only people who benefit are rich businessmen wanting even more cheap labour.

Lib Dems: Out of touch with reality

The Liberal Democrats have revealed more of their policies in the annual party conference. One of their good policies is scrapping dental check up charges. Most of their policies that they voted for are crap though.

Home affairs spokesman Nick Clegg proposed an amnesty for the hundreds of thousands of immigrants in this country. If they can break the law without being punished surely we can too? We should be able to walk up to these Liberal idiots and crack them over the head with a baseball bat without fear of being arrested. If they can commit crime why can’t we?

The Liberal Democrats are of course deluded. They think that immigration is "not too high". How high does it have to be before they realise the destructive effects large scale immigration has on society? Do they want us to build over more of the countryside? They are trying to appear like they are concerned for the environment. If they were they would be against anymore immigration because that will just make the environment worse. All the Liberal Democrats can come up with to save the environment is banning petrol cars by 2040 and bringing in a load of green taxes even though the majority of the public is opposed to green taxes.

Harriet Harman gets off

Compare these two traffic incidents:

1. Deputy Labour leader Harriet Harman was caught speeding and was fined £60. This is her second offence

2. James Harper was fined £100 for making an “almost perfect manoeuvre” because it meant he travelled more than 20 metres down a bus lane. No one was hurt and no one was in danger of being hurt. There was no speeding.

Harriet Harman was caught speeding for a second time. There is a reason why there is a speed limit – it’s because it’s dangerous. Surely Harriet Harman should have received the harsher sentence?

Benefit cheats get away with it

Benefit claimants and job seekers could be forced to take lie detector tests as early as next year after an early review of a pilot scheme exposed 126 benefit cheats in just three months, saving one local authority £110,000.

Last May, the Department for Work and Pensions asked Harrow council in London to undertake a year-long, £63,000 pilot of the ground-breaking Voice Risk Analysis (VRA) technology.

What happens when they are caught claiming fraudulently? We can be sure that they probably won’t receive a prison sentence seeing as only 1% of benefit cheats are actually sent to prison while the rest only receive a caution. The lie detector tests might be a good idea if the criminals were actually punished but they aren’t. People will still be willing to try it because they are more than likely to get away with it even if they are caught.

I have a cheaper and more effective method of finding benefit cheats. Simply make them subject to freedom of information after-all taxpayers have a right to know where their money goes.

Once they start claiming benefits put their names and benefits which they are claiming on a website. If their neighbours ever check it they will probably know if they are claiming fraudulently and be able to tell the police.

Asylum seekers on the run

A group of Iraqi asylum seekers held by police in Northants were told to make their own way to an immigration centre in Croydon, it has been revealed.

Immigration officials told police to release the people who were held after being found at a lay-by on the A45 near Flore, Northants, last Wednesday.

This is not the first time this has happened. I blogged about it happening to two illegal immigrants last month. The illegal immigrants were given a map to find their way to the detention centre while this group of asylum seekers weren’t.

You would have thought that the immigration police would have learnt that it is a bad idea to tell them to make their own way to the detention centres so we can more easily deport them. Unfortunately government departments don’t have much sense.

SNP to open Scottish embassies

FIRST Minister Alex Salmond plans to open a string of Scottish "embassies" across the globe in a bid to further his agenda for independence.

Scotland is not independent so why the hell are they opening embassies? Surely this is treason?

Who the hell does this man think he is? Even Labour wouldn’t waste so much money on something so useless. Why should the Scottish people fork out money to advance the agenda of a party which never received the majority of the Scottish vote?

Liberal Democrats boo Britain

The Liberal Democrats have shown that they hate Britain and want to sell us to Europe at the first opportunity that they get. UKIP leader Nigel Farage spoke at a fringe Lib Dem meeting and was shouted down for telling the truth.

He was booed when he said that we should be free to negotiate our own trade agreements saying that it was a liberating, positive and modern thing to do

The Liberal Democrats have shown that they are as treasonous as the other parties. They are working against the interests of Britain at every chance they get. There is no difference between the three main parties. They all stand for the same things but atleast Labour and the Conservatives try to hide their contempt for Britain. The Liberal Democrats are completely open about it. .

Village to stage referendum on treaty

Villagers in Dorset are using part of UK legislation to stage a referendum on the EU Treaty.

Demands for a national ballot on the treaty have been refused by ministers.

However, campaign group Carp has used a part of the Local Government Act to stage a parish poll in East Stoke, near Wareham, next Thursday.

The outcome would not have any formal impact on government policy, but the group's aim is to increase pressure on ministers to hold a national vote.

In East Stoke, 339 voters will be asked to vote yes or no to the question, "Do you want a referendum on the EU Constitutional Treaty?"

I hope this goes well. The more pressure put on Gordon Brown the better. I hope some organisation finds the funds to stage a country wide poll so even more pressure is put on Brown.

Even if those villagers vote that they want an EU referendum we probably won’t get one and knowing Nu Labour they will probably punish them as much as possible by taking funds from their village and putting it elsewhere.

Olympics bosses wasting more money

Olympic bosses are paying temporary staff up to £1,200 a day.

With the cost of the 2012 London Games spiralling to £9.3 billion, the Olympic Delivery Authority lavished £7,707,000 on only 65 agency workers - the equivalent of around £118,500 each.

Most of the cash was spent on consultants and recruitment experts, drafted in during the authority's "start-up phase".

Is it any wonder that the cost of the Olympics is so high when the government just throws money down the drain at every chance they get? The cost has spiralled out of control and all the government can do is spend more and more of our money. They are spending it on every wasteful thing that they can think of including bribing gipsies and paying people over the odds to go to planning meetings.

Police targets

Did anyone watch the Panorama investigation into the police with PC David Copperfield, last night? The programme mentioned that because of targets from Whitehall the police would arrest relatively easy targets.

He is probably right. What other police force in the world would waste their time arresting a school boy for criminal damage to a 1p plastic bag? Surely, a little discretion could have been used? There is real crime out there and the police should have been solving that.

Hospitals ban flowers and knitting

Despite never having a single injury from knitting needles in their hospital Congleton War Memorial Hospital has removed knitting needles from their hospital for health and safety reasons.

For three years, the Congleton War Memorial Hospital in Cheshire had provided a "knitting box" in its main waiting area, containing wool and needles and inviting patients and visitors to knit a square while they waited.

Yesterday the League of Friends of the hospital hit out at the ban as "pointless" and "soul-destroying for the patients".

The chairman of the League of Friends, Michael Lambert, said: "The idea was you would knit a small square and they were all sent off to charities and turned into large blankets and clothes for the needy. The knitting box was extremely popular and now it has been taken away. Many of the older patients are so upset."

You might think that knitting needles could be a bit dangerous even though no one in the hospital has ever been hurt by them. Do you think that flowers are a health and safety hazard? Dorset County Hospital does and they have banned flowers for health and safety reasons.

Both of these hospitals are idiotic in the extreme. Even if the knitting needles were dangerous what better place is there than a hospital to get treated? We

No smoking? What does that mean?

The smoking ban has again ended up causing stupid things to happen. There are several hundred used London Underground “No Smoking” signs for sale in an Islington antiques shop. A notice next to them explained that every sign on the Tube has had to be changed as the old ones no longer comply with the new law.

Transport for London confirms that the old signs had to be taken down. They now have to say: “It Is Against The Law To Smoke In This Station.” Apparently “No Smoking” just doesn’t do the job anymore.

Lib Dems alienate half a million

The Liberal Democrats have just alienated half a million people who will probably never vote for them at the election. They announced they were going to hammer those earning over £70,000.

While coming up with this proposal they probably didn’t know that there are atleast half a million that earn more than £100,000 in the South East alone. You can bet that they won’t be the government if they are going to rely on votes from the South East.

Wouldn’t it be easier and fairer to have a flat tax? It seems to work in Central Europe. A sales tax would be even fairer.

Firefighters in Lancashire are being handed Polish phrase-cards with sentences including 'What is on fire?' and 'Are you hurt?' to help cope with an influx of eastern Europeans.

Free Polish classes are also on offer to firefighters, to help make them understood by the 50,000 Polish immigrants who have settled in Lancashire neighbourhoods.

Incase you don’t know I blogged about this in March 2006, however it was Grampian firefighters that used the language cards and those were printed in 13 different languages.

Immigrants should be able to speak English if they come to work here. If they can’t they shouldn’t be given a job.

Liberal Democrats score own goal

The Liberal Democrats opened their annual conference yesterday. They started off by deciding to tax hard working families to death. If you have a family and are planning to earn over £70,000 the Liberal Democrats are probably not the party for you.

The tax policy wasn’t the only policy where they scored an own goal. There was a gem about the EU treaty. Those wanting a referendum were branded lunatics David Laws who went on to say “Let's not have this fake argument about a treaty that frankly is now so detailed and technical no one apart from a few headbangers actually understands it."

I have to ask if our own MPs don’t understand it (unless they are headbangers) why are we allowing them to vote on it? Surely only those MPs that understand it should be allowed to vote on it?

Military base needed doctor for 3 weeks

There is more news about the military being left out to dry and betrayed by our government who couldn’t care less about what happens to the men and women who fight for this country.

One military base which was under constant military attack spent three weeks without a doctor to care for any wounded. How could that happen? They were lucky that many weren’t killed because of this. Even if they had a doctor it might have been hard to find a bed seeing as main military hospital in Helmand ran out of beds twice in six months.

The equipment that the military uses is probably inferior to the equipment of the enemy. Which other army would use machine guns that are 55 years old? We already know our military is less well equipped than Estonia.

Labour silencing film makers

COMEDIAN Steve Coogan has abandoned plans to make a movie that ridiculed John Prescott after a menacing phone call to staff at his film company.

The caller claimed to be a Labour Party official and said the Prescott film had to be ditched – or they would face dire financial consequences with a withdrawal of Government funding.

Coogan’s company, Baby Cow Productions, has taken the threat so seriously it is playing down its involvement with the project known as Dustbingate.

The film script tells the true story of how former Deputy Prime Minister Mr Prescott was engulfed in a scandal involving allegations of corrupt council house property deals in his Hull constituency.

Yet again the Labour party have shown that they can’t handle any opposition to what they do. They have done the same to many others and I have blogged about what they have done. It’s time we had a government that valued free speech and never did everything that was in their power to stifle free speech.

SNP worse than Labour?

I never thought that there could be a worse government than Labour but apparently there is. It is the SNP. They haven’t been the Scottish government for long but they are already doing their best to fleece the tax payer and only give attention to the rich.

Alex Salmond of the SNP threw a dinner party for his Scottish friends at Scottish taxpayers’ expense. The four course meal cost £60 a head and it was used to reward their most generous benefactors. I guess if Scotland had their own House of Lords there wouldn’t have been a dinner and tax payers wouldn’t have to fork out so much so that Alex Salmond could follow a lavish lifestyle.

If you want to complain about this to Alex Salmond it’s best to have a lot of money seeing as you can’t have an audience with him unless you stump up £10,000 in cash. If you don’t have that much then you can lobby the other ministers who are charging a much cheaper rate.

Alex Salmond has only been in power for a few months and he is already being as bad as Labour. After a few years of this will the Scottish people but up with him anymore? It’s hard to say seeing as the opposition is either Labour or the Lib Dems. Either way you are going to take it up the arse if you are a Scot.

Police tell residents they can strike first

TERRIFIED residents have been told by cops they can throw the first punch if they are threatened by girl gangs running riot on their estate.

An emergency meeting to discuss antisocial behaviour on the Four Squares estate in Bermondsey this week heard the shocking level of intimidation some residents are facing including:

* one mum who had white spirit poured through her letter box and thugs threatening to "burn her"

* another woman attacked by youths during a christening party

* racist abuse hurled at residents by yobs.

Give the law abiding residents guns and tell them they can shoot the gangs if they start anything. Once the gangs realise that the community won’t take it anymore and they risk dying for any intimidating behaviour they do they will stop or risk being killed.

Communities should not have to put up with this and gangs should realise that it is not acceptable to do it. They will only realise this once communities start fighting back.

Problem solved

IN ONE fell swoop, the Scottish Government has solved the country's costly NEET problem - by renaming it.

The education secretary Fiona Hyslop has rejected the acronym, which means "not in education, employment or training". She believes it "labels" unemployed youngsters.

Instead she refers to the estimated 35,000 teenagers who choose to claim benefits rather than study or work, as those in need of "more choices, more chances".

A study by Westminster's education department in 2002 calculated each NEET youngster cost the country £45,000 in benefits.

How is this going to achieve anything? How does it label youngsters? I have never heard anyone talking about NEETs or calling layabouts that.

The SNP seem to like rebranding exercises that don’t achieve anything. They seem more useless and politically correct than Labour and I didn’t think that was possible.

£1,000 fine for cyber bullying

Parents whose children bully classmates using text messages or the internet face £1,000 fines.

The Government is cracking down on 'cyber bullies' who use mobile phones, email and social networking websites to threaten or torment fellow pupils.

Ministers want schools to make greater use of parenting orders, under which fines of up to £1,000 can be imposed on mothers and fathers who fail to rein in bullying

This kind of bullying is nothing and can be ignored. Why doesn’t the government fine parents of children who physically bully classmates and use that money to pay for self defence classes for those that are being bullied.

Children will always bully other children and the government is not going to be able to stop it so they should do everything they can to ensure the children that are bullied have a chance to fight back.

Conservatives open prayer room for Ramadan

Remember in May when David Cameron decided to live with a Muslim family for a few days to get the Muslims to vote for them?

The Conservatives have gone one step further to appease Islam. They have announced that during their party conference they have a dedicated prayer room for Ramadan and special food for our Muslim guests. Aww ain’t that nice, appeasing the Muslims…

Of course there won’t be anything for white people but then again we no longer matter. The indigenous people of this country are discriminated against at every opportunity. The Conservatives no longer care about us and neither do the government.

Red Arrows banned from Olympics

THE Red Arrows have been banned from performing at the 2012 London Olympics as they are too BRITISH.

Barmy organisers claim the popular RAF display team’s military background “might offend other nations”.

The decision has left pilots, who were set to perform their best-ever display at the opening ceremony, in a state of outrage.

Seeing as we are hosting the Olympics we should be showing the best bits of Britain and banning the red arrows is just a stupid idea that should have never have been given the time of day but our barmy officials hate everything that is British.

Anti white racism to get worse

Two white councillors have hit out after being excluded from a meeting because of their colour.

Peter Golds and Stephanie Eaton said they were outraged at not being asked to take part in the focus group at Tower Hamlets council in East London.

The gathering was organised to come up with ideas for improving career opportunities for Bangladeshi and ethnic minority workers at the council.

White people have been discriminated against twice here. There are no council meetings for ideas to improve the career opportunities of the white community. White councillors are also banned from the meeting to discuss these ideas. This anti white racism is only going to get worse in the next 30 years as whites become a minority in many of our cities. The discrimination will get worse and we will probably become third class citizens.

White children still being discriminated against

A Garston primary school is under fire for a scheme that offers additional learning support to black and mixed race pupils only.

Parents of youngsters attending Alban Wood Primary School say they are "disgusted" their children are being segregated by the colour of their skin.

Black and mixed race pupils received a letter last week explaining the school in The Brow had been allocated a budget to offer them extra classroom support.

This has been happening for many years. There are grants worth hundreds of millions of pounds that go to schools to help ethnic minority pupils and there are no such grants for white pupils because white children are treated as second class citizens.

White people are told not to be racist and yet they discriminate against us. They are the ones that hate white people so much that they disadvantage us at every opportunity they get and they expect us to stay silent over it.

When mugging isn't a crime

A mother who had her bag snatched was told by police it was not a crime - because she chased after the thief and won her property back.

Sam McAlister was queueing in a coffee shop with her ten-month-old son when a woman grabbed the bag from the back of the pushchair as an accomplice distracted her.

Miss McAlister, 34, left her child with staff at the Starbucks cafe, whom she knew well, and set off in pursuit of the woman.

She confronted the thief in a nearby shop and was eventually reunited with her bag after a struggle.

But when she went to a police station to report the crime, she was told by an officer behind the desk that it was not a crime because she had got the bag back.

If she had called the police about the incident they would have said they were too busy and she would never have got her handbag back and the thief would be free anyway. Just what are the police for? Theft is theft. It doesn’t matter if she got the bag back.

The police can be worse than useless sometimes. She would have been better off beating the thief up then making a run for it.

Soldiers having a holiday in Iraq?

While in Iraq our troops are living in tents on bases which are constantly bombarded. On the bright side these troops have better living conditions than they do at home.

The Commons defence committee says repairs take too long, standards of service are "unacceptably poor", and the situation is exacerbated by "an alarming lack of recognition at senior levels that these problems are more than minor difficulties". Unless significant improvements are made soon, service men and women will be forced to live in sub-standard accommodation "for many years to come", the cross-party committee says.

The government is doing everything it can to damage the armed forces. Is it any wonder that many leave the armed services because the government does not value them? The government should get their act together and give the military what it needs including decent living conditions for them and their families.

Junior doctor crisis could continue for years

The junior doctors recruitment crisis will be even worse next year, a Government document disclosed yesterday.

Competition for training posts will be tighter with three applicants expected for every job.

This year, which will see 10,000 doctors without a training job by next month, there were two applicants for every post. Only a third of applicants even got an interview, the document said.

I would have thought that the government would have learnt something from this but they haven’t. They are continuing with a system that is an utter shambles. Are they trying to completely destroy the NHS or are they just totally incompetent? It’s hard to tell which.

If the government had any sense they would go back to the old system which worked far better than the system that they are using now. Then again you can’t accuse Labour of having any sense.

Charge drunks for treatment says Lib Dems

Patients needing emergency NHS treatment after becoming drunk or incapacitated by drugs would be charged under proposals yesterday from Norman Lamb, the Liberal Democrat health spokesman.

The plan is one of a series of policy shifts in a strategy paper he published before the party's annual conference in Brighton next week. Mr Lamb said: "If you get rat-arsed on a Friday night and get taken to A&E where you are foul and abusive to staff, is it right for the taxpayers to fund your life-saving treatment?"

I agree with this policy. If you are responsible for your ill health then you should be the one to pay for your own treatment. Tax payers should not have to fund your lifestyle.

I think this is the only decent policy that the Lib Dems have ever come up with. I think it will be the last too.

Good week for BNP

It’s been a good week for the BNP. Burnley BNP has won a recount after the election was tied and it was won by drawing lots. The BNP says one of the Labour votes was spoiled and should never have been counted. The judge agreed and has ordered a recount of all the votes. This could mean another councillor for the BNP.

The BNP has the UK's most visited political party website. The BNP website gets seven times more visitors than Labour's website, and three times more than the website of the Conservatives. The BNP gets more than half of all internet traffic to political party sites.

While the BNP gets 51.22% of internet traffic, their nearest contender, the Conservatives only receive around 18%. UKIP receive 5.33% and have shown that they are a lame duck in the political arena and on the internet.

EU wants European identity card

Don’t you just love the EU and the new treaty that’s actually a constitution? Me neither. Apparently our foreign policy is saved. It won’t be for long because EU countries are now trying to seize even more power over foreign policy.

The treaty could make us carry a European identity card so we will all be EU citizens and entitled to do anything we want in the EU. This will be the final nail in the coffin for an independent Britain.

The EU and Gordon Brown are totally against people have any say on how their country is run. This is why they don’t want the people to have referendum. They know we would vote no and they can’t handle that. Look at France and the Netherlands. They both voted no but they are getting no choice anyway.

Labour blackmailing local councils

Town halls will be driven to raise council tax bills more sharply if they refuse to build thousands of homes on green fields, it was claimed last night.

Opponents accused the Government of blackmailing councils by dangling a £500million reward in front of those who help solve the growing housing crisis.

Gordon Brown is desperate to build three million extra homes by 2020, partly to cope with an influx of immigrants.

Housing Minister Yvette Cooper will today package the hugely controversial housing incentive scheme as a reward for councils which "raise their game".

They will share grants totalling £500million in return for pinpointing land for housing, including green fields and former garden space.

But councils which refuse to concrete over valued land, or are slow to build new homes, will be denied any of the extra cash.

The incentives are enough to ensure that councils that do not allow unpopular development will see council tax bills rising more than those which take the money.

Once again the government is punishing any opposition to their plans. If silencing their opponents is impossible they go about punishing their opponents. This has been the case with those that don’t vote for them who end up with higher taxes which go to areas that vote Labour.

Labour can’t win without bullying and bribing their opponents just like they did with the postal workers when they threatened them with the loss of their bonuses.

Conservatives will be unelectable

Are the Conservatives trying to lose the next election? They have come up with the most half baked environmental policies. Do they really think we are so stupid that we will vote for these idiots? Under their proposals families would be forced to turn their houses green before being given permission to carry out loft conversions or conservatory extensions.

The government have yet to nationalise homes so the government should have no right telling us when we can renovate our home. Until they nationalise our homes they should shut up especially if they want to be elected.

Another policy that they are thinking about is turning street lights off at night. What are street lights for? Are they supposed to be left on during the day? If they aren’t left on during the night why would we need them? Has he given any thought to what it would cost local councils to achieve this?

With these policies the Conservatives will be unelectable and we will have even longer of the nation wrecking policies of Labour.

Sex offender could get compensation

A convicted sex offender who took advantage of a teenage girl with learning difficulties at a party, has been jailed indefinitely.

Graham Bundy, 56, was branded a danger to girls and vulnerable young women by a judge at Mold Crown Court.

The indeterminate sentence means that Bundy will only be allowed out of prison when the Parole Board consider he is safe.

I think you will all agree that jailing sex offenders indefinitely is a good idea and it would be a good idea to do it more often. Unfortunately there is a little snag to this. High Court judges have already ruled this illegal meaning that sex offenders can claim damages from the prisons. Get ready for Graham Bundy to get a rather large payout.

Who is irrational?

If you are a drug dealing rapist this country goes easy on you. Despite being branded a danger to the public after raping two women, George Speight was released early from prison. After being released early he decided to put the life of rape behind him and go into the lucrative business of drug dealing. He was caught and has now been sentenced to 6 years in prison. He will probably serve 3 years even though he is a scumbag.

You and I probably think that drug dealing rapists are dangerous people who deserve to be deported especially if they are immigrants. Unfortunately our judges don’t think that way. Chan Wright, 35 is from Jamaica and is a convicted rapist and drug dealer. Judges decided it was irrational to brand him a high-risk reoffender and that his deportation should be reconsidered.

I think it was quite rational to deport him and he should have been deported after his first offence but the loonies are in control of the asylum so everything that normal people find rational is suddenly irrational.

The government have also said that they were going to deport all foreign criminals. This shows that they are full of lies.

Lost immigrants cause financial crisis for council

More than 24,000 immigrants in Central London have been left off official population figures, resulting in an £18 million shortfall in town hall funds, it has been claimed.

Westminster City Council is publishing research that suggests that 11,000 short-term migrants and 13,000 illegal migrants are living in the borough at any one time. Council chiefs are furious that latest figures compiled by the Office for National Statistics (ONS) reduced the number of immigrants in the borough by 15,500 and have demanded a recount.

Local councils are allocated money largely based on the number of residents they have but figures compiled by the ONS fail to pick up temporary and illegal immigrants.

The government has lost control of immigration. There is an estimated 24,000 unaccounted for immigrants in just one area. What is it like in the rest of the country?

Immigration is not a benefit. The only people that benefit are those wanting cheap labour while people who have no skills see their wages decreased or they are completely priced out of the market. Having this situation is not a benefit to this country and it has never been a benefit to this country, no matter how much the EU says otherwise.

Universities to offer basic grammar lessons

Universities should offer remedial lessons in grammar for students who cannot write properly, according to a leading academic.

Rick Trainor, the president of Universities UK, which represents vice-chancellors, said that universities should do more to ensure graduates are properly prepared for the world of work.

Employers have already criticised the standards of basic skills among teenagers, saying too many are leaving school with a poor grasp of the three Rs.

If we had a half decent education system to begin with universities wouldn’t need to do anything like this. Universities should be there for intelligent people and not people who can’t put a simple sentence together.

Doctors: Stop smoking or we will leave you in agony

A builder who broke his ankle in three places has been refused an operation by doctors - because he smokes.

Gutted John Nuttall, 57, fractured his joint while at work but medics have told him he cannot undergo surgery.

They say unless he gives up his 20-a-day habit he will not be eligible for an operation

Why should he have to stop smoking when smoking isn’t the problem? If smoking was the problem I would support it but it isn’t. He should sue the health service for persecuting him.

Smoking is not illegal and as long as it isn’t he should be given the same treatment as anyone else. Smoking never caused his broken ankle so why should he be punished for smoking?

500 scientists have global warming doubts

Hundreds of scientists have cast doubts on the theory of man-made global warming, a new study has revealed.

The analysis of peer-reviewed literature found more than 500 researchers refuted at least one element of the man-made climate change model

Many have published evidence suggesting changes are due to either a natural 1,500 year climate cycle or variations in the sun's irradiance.

Less than two week ago I showed that the consensus was bogus and now there is even more proof that there is no global warming consensus and the debate still goes on. It has not ended like some climate change alarmists have been saying because there is no evidence that man is causing it.

Wasting police time

Many decades ago the police and our government used to have a bit of common sense. Unfortunately that has disappeared. The police are either taking very little notice of real crime or are behind a desk dealing with mountains of paperwork.

The police waste 56 million hours a year on paper work. If this red tape was cut maybe our police could actually do a real job and arrest the real criminals. Something tells me with the mentality they have now that they would probably waste their time telling shop owners not to sell sandwiches to children.

The police could also waste their time making signs telling people not to commit crime. Quite why anyone would not know this remains a mystery. The government puts up daft signs too. If a bunker is supposed to be a secret it may not be the best idea to have a sign saying ‘Secret Nuclear Bunker’ which points to the secret nuclear bunker. Maybe it’s not supposed to be a secret and that’s just the name of the bunker?

EU wants 20 million more immigrants

I have already blogged that the EU is planning to open our borders to non EU countries. Now they are planning to allow 20 million immigrants into the EU from non EU countries. No doubt the majority will want to come here.

To hide what they are doing they are going to try and replace the word ‘immigration’ with ‘mobility’ so it sounds a little more acceptable. Franco Frattini, justice commissioner wants more skilled labour to be allowed in to fill gaps. Why can’t businesses train their own Labour? If they don’t then country will never advance because countries will be filled with unskilled people with no prospects because their government and businesses have betrayed them in favour of people already trained. Businesses will not want to spend their money on training when all they have to do is pay for a plane ticket to get a foreigner.

What will happen to the country where these skilled people come from? African countries are already experiencing a brain drain and this will just make it far worse than it is.

We should train our own people for whatever skills shortages we have and leave people from the third world. They need skilled workers far more than we do.

More gypsies coming our way

Don’t you just love the gypsies? Me neither. If they are not trying to get as much money as possible for leaving somewhere where they aren’t supposed to be they are making the lives of communities hell while local authorities and the police are powerless to do anything.

If you like the gipsies you will be glad to know that more will be coming because the EU allows free movement of people. The gipsies see an opportunity to get more money without actually working for it and you can bet these people will take that opportunity.

Gipsies want more money to leave

With everyone getting lots of money for not doing a lot for the Olympics the gipsies have decided to do the same.

The London Development Agency bulldozed a local park for part of the Olympic site then the gipsies moved in and now they can’t get rid of them. The gipsies have been offered £8,500 compensation each to move to a better area a few yards away but the money isn’t enough for the scroungers and they may sue for more.

I wouldn’t give them anything. I would tell them if they don’t move they will have their caravans confiscated and they will be forcibly evicted without any money and if they didn’t have a home we would have to put their children into care for their own safety. If the threat of losing their homes and children doesn’t make them move nothing will.

Spend the money on our soldiers

The Ministry of Defence seems to be wasting a lot of money which could have been spent on our troops giving them better equipment and safer places to sleep. The government does those things on the cheap though.

I have already blogged that the MoD has wasted £2.3 billion on consultants who consult them on many areas including public relations. Now I have read today that some of their defence projects are £2.6 billion over budget and are many years behind schedule. These two instances amount to almost £5 billion in waste.

This money could be spent giving our troops helicopters or giving them better accommodation rather than having them sleep in flimsy tents in a base which is constantly bombarded and which offers very little protection while the bureaucrats sleep in buildings which have very little chance of being destroyed.

Thieves take police bikes

BURGLARS climbed an eight-foot wall into a Cleveland Police compound - and made off with four expensive mountain bikes.

The raiders struck at the recently opened South Bank police office, used by the Grangetown and South Bank neighbourhood policing teams.

They scaled the wall during the early hours of the morning, when the office was shut.

Police later discovered the bikes were missing from the “secure” compound - and have admitted they were not chained up.

It doesn’t look too good for the new police station does it? The thing that irritates me is that you never actually see police on bikes around here so they don’t need bikes. Maybe they are going to start riding bikes instead of driving cars?

Don't hurt their feelings

Convicted criminals working in the community are to be barred from wearing fluorescent jackets because their feelings might be hurt if passers-by hurl abuse, it emerged last night.

Government officials are worried about the health and safety of burglars and thugs if they can be identified as they carry out their punishments.

In a spectacular U-turn, probation staff have been told to stop putting up signs saying street work is being carried out by convicts - or forcing them to wear bright yellow jackets branded 'Community Payback'.

Instead, a small plaque will be erected long after the yobs have gone, to make sure their delicate sensibilities are not put at risk. The decision makes a mockery of repeated Labour promises to make 'tough' community sentences - such as tidying parks and fixing benches - more visible so that the public can see justice being done.

Last year England's most senior judge, Lord Chief Justice Phillips, secretly passed himself off as a convicted drink driver and donned one of the jackets to see what community punishments were like.

And a modified version of the yellow jacket he wore may have a reprieve.

In a classic example of Whitehall confusion, some criminals working in the open air will still wear them - albeit without any logo to suggest they are convicts.

Why? Because the high-visibility jackets could help prevent accidents - as required under health and safety rules.

This country must be the laughing stock of the criminal world. When did criminals ever care about the feelings of their victims? They should be visible to the communities they wreck to humiliate them into stopping their criminal ways but under Labour it won’t stop them. Labour are easy on criminals when they have said that they would be tough on crime and tough on the causes of crime. I would like to know when we will actually see them being tough.

Brown silences civil servants

Now that he has taken on the postal workers, the military, the media, junior doctors and members of the Labour party, Gordon Brown has now turned his attention on the civil servants.

Civil servants who complain about anything will now be disciplined because Gordon Brown can’t have anyone disagreeing with him. It might upset him and he just can’t bear to think that not everyone thinks that he is a good Prime Minister.

Who will Gordon Brown go for next? He is silencing everyone that he can. It won’t be long before we don’t have any free speech whatsoever.

Queen may be scrapped from UK passports

References to the Queen could be taken out of British passports in a bid to make them more European, it has emerged.

The new documents, which could be in place as early as 2010, would bear reference to the EU constitution in order to remind UK citizens that they are part of Europe.

The first page of the British passport has historically featured the royal coat of arms with a message from the Queen beginning: "Her Britannic Majesty's Secretary of State".

The words go on to outline that the citizen has a right to travel freely and has the right to protection and assistance.

Under new changes, however, it has been suggested that the coat of arms are scrapped and replaced by the EU emblem of 12 stars with the message underneath reading: "Every citizen of the Union".

The new version has been taken from Article 20 of the EU Constitution, the treaty that was discredited two years ago after it was rejected by member states including France and the Netherlands.

Why can’t the EU just piss off? We don’t want anything about the EU on our passports. If they don’t like it we can leave. The government should realise that we are sick and tired of them destroying this country and giving more and more power to the EU, power which we have never asked them to give to the EU and power which we want back.
