Blogpower poll ends in dead heat

The Blogpower poll has ended and they are effectively back where they started as the poll was a dead heat with 10 voting for me to leave and 10 voting for me to stay. I have to say I didn’t think a dead heat would happen but it did.

Now those that lead Blogpower have to think up a new solution which they will post tomorrow at 6pm. Here is the screenshot about 40 mins before the poll ended:

Meanwhile Spicy Cauldron who was made blog of the week earlier this week was so offended by being blog of the week that he has apparently flagged my blog because it is offensive and racist. I don’t publish racist material so I don’t know where he got that from but if my blog suddenly goes offline you know why.

Spicy Cauldron is more upset about me blog of the week than I ever thought he would be because he has IP banned me from his site. I didn’t know the honour of being blog of the week was so offensive. Oh well.

Had to smile at this, ydkm. It's the type of thing I'd do if people were voting on me. I'm sick of it all, really. Someone said you were enjoying all this and again, I think I'd be a bit provocative myself, if it were me. By the way, I don't 'lead' Blogpower because there is no structure to the thing. It's just a loose collection of bloggers. I'm just the sod who posts things and sends messages.

I wasn't enjoying it at first but for some reason its making me feel good inside...

It could be because since peopl have started voting on me my visitor stats have more than doubled.

It's sad that blogpower is having an argument over me though.

Wait till I join Blogpower, they'll all be screaming "Quick...run...there's two of 'em."

lol. They will probably each have a heart attack or get into an even bigger fuss about the BNP taking over eventhough there is only 2 of us.

They probably won't let you in though.

HaHa!

Pity you can't have an online tug o' war, with the teams of 10 on each side.

lol. would be fun too.

You keep saying 'they'. If you're a member, why don't you say 'we'? And 'they' is everyone and there is no current mechanism to hire or fire.

well since I am unlikely to get up in a fuss and have a heart attack about bfb joining I chose 'they' as it suffices here.

I thought about joining in a knee jerk fashion after reading of your plight here but then I thought, no, ill just leave them be.

I should imagine they have been trained like Pavlov's dog to drool when they see you, and that from their point of view they are probably being moral and upstanding citizens. (I'm assuming that there are no hardcore "comintern" type lefties there)

So, give them time, and while one or two may leave, I hope the rest will sort of realise that infact its no big deal in itself, and one or two that previously didn't might think its quite good and come to debate on the merits of our ideas.

That's how wars of ideas are won, the first step always being the point of contact inbetween the new idea(s) and the old. Our opponents had many fruitful years when our ideas were completely verbotten, but when that dam was cracked there was no turning back. Its quite exciting to have got involved with a movement just as it was taking off (I joined 2 years ago) and to see it grow - shoot up - organically.
