The intifada spreads

The intifada in France has spread across the nation to Marseille. A bus today was torched today and the French interior minister has sent riot police there to stop it from going like it is in Paris which is now like a war zone with 112 cars a day being burnt.

I don’t think it is even this bad in third world countries and France should be able to handle this.

What exactly are they doing? Why are they acting like a stereotypical Frenchmen? If you don’t want to be thought of as cowards why don’t you take them on? The French have a first world military and they have a group of Muslims in their country who aren’t too well armed.

The French should treat them as an invading army and shoot anyone on site that tries any rioting or attacking the police. There is no need for trials for invading armies.

More tax if Labour do their job

People who live in areas with good schools, clean streets and low crime rates face huge increases in their
council tax bills.

Ah… Labour is charging people for doing the job they are supposed to be doing. We already pay taxes. The streets are supposed to be clean. We are supposed to have good schools and low crime rates. Why exactly do we have to pay more if the government is actually doing their job?

For the first time, data provided by the national census, school exam results and crime statistics will be fed into the calculations. Householder income, cohabitation and, in what many MPs will regard as a highly contentious move, ethnicity will be taken into account.

Why should ethnicity have any bearing on how much you pay? Who’s betting that white areas are going to get a bigger tax increase than those friendly Muslim areas?

Labour to punish the poor

Got this from Dizzy Thinks:

Brown and Miliband are planning to tax the poor off the road with plans for "a substantial increase in vehicle excise duty for higher-emissions vehicles" according to a leaked document in this morning's Mail on Sunday. The document, from Miliband to Brown, outlines a number of areas where the intention is to heavily tax everyone in an attempt to make them more environmentally friendly. It's not so much a stick as a baseball bat, and there is no carrot. Key proposals are:

  • Substantial increase in road tax - bizarrely arguing that this will be an incentive to buy low emission cars. Which may be true for someone able to afford a new car, but won't be for low-income family of four driving a 10 year old Mondeo. I guess they're expected to catch a bus in our "integrated transport system".
  • Remove the freeze on the fuel escalator by arguing it will create price stability of oil. I'm not quite sure how the tax on fuel in the UK impacts the global oil price, but that is the argument in the document.
  • Total "road-user pricing". Basically a per journey charge to use roads which has massive technological and surveillance implications.
  • Using Council Tax to target owner-occupiers who have have high emission homes. That basically means punishing those who live in period property.
  • Putting VAT on air fares.
  • Introducing an air passenger tax. That on top of the tax already, and presumably VAT.
  • No stamp duty on purchases of "zero carbon" homes. Not quite sure how any home can be "zero carbon". This sounds like a headline grabbing policy that will never actually be applied because of its virtual impossibility to achieve. A bit like zero road tax on a car that is no longer in production.

Why does every problem have to be solved through tax? If anything there should be lower taxes. Some problems can be partly ‘solved’ through tax but if you want to reduce global warming then you have to do things that matter.

Here is what I would do:

Half petrol taxes because the correct petrol tax for the UK, for environmental reasons, is actually about half what we currently pay.

As planes have a lot of emissions something would be done about plane journeys. At the moment our skies are overcrowded with planes. With one policy I could change all that.

I would put a limit on the amount of plane journeys over Britain and then auction them off to plane companies. They would be sold in 10%’s meaning that if the limit was 100,000 each auction would sell 10,000 plane journeys. To stop a certain company getting them all a limit of 30% of all journeys would be implemented and the last 10% (which would be 90%) would not be given to the big companies but would be sold to smaller companies that are just starting up which would give the smaller ones a chance to catch up. I would then give the companies a chance to be able to trade their journeys if they weren’t going to use them for whatever price they wanted.

Seeing as how aeroplanes can have hundreds of people I estimate that the plane companies would purchase each journey for around £1000 which isn’t a lot if there are hundreds of customers per journey. This would give the treasury an extra £100 million atleast but it is bound to be more.

The auctions would be held every year.

The companies would then pass the cost on to the customer (if it is £1000 per journey for the aeroplane company it isn’t going to be much) and if it got expensive customers may decide to use other forms of transport.

I would then put £3 tax on every plane seat on every journey which would get the plane ticket even higher but not too high.

I would then scrap VAT on ferry/boat tickets and channel tunnel tickets for about a year to encourage people to use those to go abroad.

I would scrap VAT on energy saving light bulbs and renewable energy and low polluting products like low polluting cars, solar panels, double glazing and loft insulation.

This would discourage flying and may even encourage people from this country to holiday in this country more as it would be cheaper.

Abolition of Parliament bill is back...

Remember the Legislative and Regulatory Reform Bill or the Abolition of Parliament bill as it was affectionately known? If you don’t I covered it 8 months ago here.

I thought it had all died down but apparently it hasn’t. It is now in its final stages in the Lords and it is worse than ever.

The bill will drastically reduce parliamentary discussion of future laws. The bill gives ministers power to alter any law passed by Parliament.

Instead of a full day’s debate on the principle of the proposal, detailed line-by-line examination in committee, a second chance at specific amendment in the Commons and a final debate and vote, ministers will have to face at most a short debate in a committee and a one-and-a-half hour debate on the floor. Frequently the Government will face less than that. No amendments will be allowed. The legislative process will be reduced to a game of take-it-or-leave-it.

Any body created by statute, including local authorities, the courts and even companies, might find themselves reorganised or even abolished. Since the powers of the House of Lords are defined in Acts of Parliament, even they are subject to the Bill.

Carrying ID cards could be made compulsory, smoking in one’s own home could be outlawed and the definition of terrorism altered to make ordinary political protest punishable by life imprisonment. Nor will the Human Rights Act save us since the Bill makes no exception for it.

The Bill, bizarrely, even applies to itself, so that ministers could propose orders to remove the limitations about two-year sentences and taxation.

Yesterday the House of Lords voted to make the Bill safer, and lost, by just 13 votes.

There'll be a final vote this Thursday.

Dark Heretic has something on how we can stop it here

Paris erupts in minor skirmishes and bus burning

Minor skirmishes were reported in the French capital Paris on the first anniversary of two deaths which sparked riots across the country.

An additional 4,000 officers had been deployed and six were injured in fighting and 25 people were arrested.

"It was a relatively calm night," a police spokesman was quoted by news agency AFP.

In the latest incidents, at least two more buses were set on fire.

What exactly would the BBC class as moderate skirmishes? BBC bias strikes again.

I laughed when I read "It was a relatively calm night,”. What is a normal night like if that was a calm night?

Labour to raise taxes on alcohol?

Tax on alcohol should rise to reduce binge drinking among teenagers, Health Secretary Patricia Hewitt has said.

Why does Labour think tax will solve everything? If they don’t want binge drinking why have 24 hour drinking?

You know the drill everyone. It’s now time for my suggestions.

First tax on alcohol should be lowered, most of the time. At the moment £3.75 billion in tax revenue are lost to alcohol and tobacco smuggling. I don’t think we can stop this solely through policing and using customs. We should lower out tax on alcohol and tobacco to 5% above the European average. This would simply make it unprofitable for smugglers to go abroad to buy alcohol. Those that bought off smugglers would then have no choice but to buy from retailers. We could then experiment with legalising people bringing in alcohol and we could then downsize Customs and Excise which would save us further millions of pounds.

The majority of people are sensible drinkers. I don’t see why they should have to suffer tax increases.

Most people who binge drink are people who go night clubs and drink through the early hours of the morning. I am in favour of tax to partly solve the problem of binge drinking here but the taxes have to be variable (I seem to like a lot of variable-type policies).

Tax would increase to 10% above the level that they are right now after 11:30pm every night. We can either do that or increase the tax on alcohol after 6pm on a Friday and Saturday when people are most likely to binge drink. I think the second option is a much better option because by 11:30 they are probably already drunk so it’s probably useless to tax higher then anyway even though it wouldn’t harm the pub drinkers.

There is a second part to dealing with this too. If people harm themselves while drunk and have to go to hospital they will be made to pay the full cost of their hospital treatment. While this wouldn’t work in the short term it would catch on in the long term because in the short term those that regularly get drunk will think nothing will happen to them and will drink anyway but when they start paying a lot more money to the NHS if they are injured a lot they will think about what they are doing.

My proposal would save a lot of money as Customs and Excise could be downsized as we wouldn’t need them for alcohol and tobacco which I think is their biggest job at present. The NHS would save money because those that injure themselves would have to pay for themselves and would not be entitled to free healthcare for that particular injury. Alcohol misuse among all age groups is estimated to cost the NHS £1.7bn a year.

I estimate that with these proposals I could save £2 billion per year (without taking into effect the alcohol tax) as well as cut binge drinking to a less serious level.

The beginning of the end

It is the beginning of the end for the European Union. Nations are finally realising what a disaster the European project has been.

In Hungary they are rioting against their government for lying to them and showing complete contempt for the Hungarian people and democracy by publicly admitting that he had “lied, morning, noon and night” about the tax increases and public spending cuts that he had promised Señor Almunia before a recent election — and after the election was over, he naturally felt that his promises to Brussels were far more important than the ones he had made to Hungarian voters.

The resulting budget cuts of 7 per cent of GDP over two years would be roughly equivalent in Britain to closing down the entire NHS. And Hungary, remember, is being forced to do this to comply with the Maastricht treaty, without even being admitted to the eurozone.

In Italy their credit rating has been reduced to that of Botswana and the government is in a crisis. The Italian government is also on the brink of collapse because of Signor Prodi’s insistence on implementing tax increases and budget cuts demanded by Joaquín Almunia, the EU Economic Commissioner, under the terms of the Maastricht Treaty.

In Britain there has been a flood of Eastern Europeans taking jobs that Brits won’t be treated like slaves to do. This has resulted in unemployment that has not been this bad for years.

History will judge the European project as the worst blunder in the past century, surpassing the invasion of the Suez in the 1950s and the invasion of Iraq.

Islamofascists lose in Denmark

A court ruled on Thursday that a Danish newspaper did not libel Muslims by printing cartoons of the Prophet Mohammed that unleashed a storm of protests in the Islamic world.

Seven Danish Muslim organisations brought the case, saying the paper had libelled them with the images, which included one depicting the Prophet with a bomb in his turban, by implying Muslims were terrorists.

This is a victory for freedom and a defeat for the islamofascists who want to impose their will on an unwilling majority.

If muslims don’t like our ways they don’t have to live here.

Minimum wage and benefits

All this week I have been watching 18 Doughty Street which is an online tv station. Unfortunately I have missed the week it started and have been catching up by watching the archives.

I think 18 Doughty Street is excellent and is far better than what is on TV.

I just finished watching their film on minimum wage and was astonished to find what people on benefits could get so I have decided to write what I would do to change the benefits system. I will also be doing blog entries on other things they mention in other shows.

Minimum wage has something to do with it and by now my readers will probably know what my policy on minimum wage is but you can read it here. Basically there would be a variable minimum wage in each city as the cost of living is different in each city.

One of the hosts was from Australia. He also had a good idea which Australia already does. The minimum wage is different for each profession. While this is a good idea I think my idea is best and the Australia way is second best because I think that system would be far too complicated to figure out and it doesn’t really calculate in the cost of living in different parts of the country.

The next bit of the programme was on benefits. Firstly unemployment benefit and the fact that many people are far better off on these benefits. This has to end. I once believed that there should be a limit on the amount of time you could claim benefit for. Infact that is what one of the presenters argued for. I no longer believe that, instead we should strengthen the financial position of the lower paid.

At the moment the unemployed get their rent and council tax paid for while the low paid who don’t earn much more than those on benefits have to pay this. People who work and are low paid should get subsidised rent. They should still have to pay rent but there rent should be 50% less than those that are paid a lot. Something should be done about council tax too. I think council tax should be made into a flat tax and anyone earning below a certain level should not have to pay. The limit would need to be variable just like the minimum wage.

The unemployed also use their benefit to buy things that are luxuries like cigarettes and alcohol. This has to stop. Benefit money should only be used so you can survive. Instead of money being given to the unemployed they should receive tokens instead that can be redeemed for food, clothes, electricity, gas, water and other thing that may be needed. Tokens would be given costing a certain amount and would not be redeemable for things like alcohol and cigarettes. If you want them get a job.

This would get the unemployed out looking for work as no one wants to just ‘live’. They want to enjoy themselves. Tokens would stop people enjoying themselves on taxpayers’ money. They would not be able to go anywhere because they wouldn’t even have money for the bus unless the government deemed it necessary for them to have a bus pass so they could look for work.

The next bit of the 30 minute film focused on disability benefit. 10% of workers are now on disability benefit because apparently they can earn up to £40,000 per year including an allowance for their car. If they are on disability we should not be paying for their car. They don’t need it.

Those on disability should be split into three groups. Those in group 1 would be the most disabled. They are born disabled and cannot work at all. Those in group 2 would be those that have lost limbs or had serious illnesses that stop them from working like heart attacks and strokes. Those in group 3 are those that claim that they have injured themselves or cannot work for whatever reason like those alcoholics alcoholics and drugs addicts on incapacity benefit.

Those in group 1 would be given all that they need in cash and home help because they need it.

Those in group 2 would be given tokens and cash. 60% would be in cash and the rest in tokens. These would be helped back into part time employment if it is possible.

Those in group 3 would be given 90% tokens and 10% cash. Most of these are probably false anyway. In benefits they would get 20% less than they would get if they were working.

If we were going to do this we would obviously have to get rid of all the immigrants so wages weren’t driven down so people would feel that it was worth it to work.

Free speech trial delayed

The trial of Nick Griffin and Mark Collett has been delayed until 1st November because of ‘administrative reasons’ as the Court is full of cases.

The BNP thinks that it is a totally different reason. Here is what they say on the issue:

Whereas the motley crew that turn up to chant against Free Speech are benefit-scrounging lay-abouts, students skipping lectures, full time left wing union officials and professional “anti-racists” the vast majority of BNP supporters are full time employees holding down a job or self-employed business folk who struggle to get time off at short notice. Those who had planned to attend on Monday 30th would have made arrangements with their employers, clients well in advance.

I was planning to go there on Monday too. Looks like I will just have to stay off college on the Wednesday instead. *sigh*.

That day is going to be very close to bomb fire night. I can just see the reds having a load of fireworks or something similar and firing them at the BNP supporters.

Fighting the persecution of bloggers

A BNP supporter blogger has come under attack for supporting the BNP and has had a number of sites take his link down for that reason.

In the spirit of solidarity I will link to his blog in my links section and I urge everyone to do the same.

The blog is called Islamanazi. It is a pretty good blog.

The blog was taken down because apparently the BNP are anti-Semitic. That’s news to me and the Jews that are in the party including a Jewish councillor. You can read about it here.

Labour support falls to lowest level in Decades

People are finally getting sick of Labour. Their support has dropped to 29% and Conservative support has risen to 39%. Lib Dem support is at 22% which means the ‘others’ are at 10%. I wonder if the majority of that 10% is the BNP vote?

This is the lowest support they have had since the 1980s. People are finally realising how bad this country has become under the leadership of Labour.

I think within 15 years Labour won’t even be a force in politics. At the moment their support mainly comes from Scotland as England is mostly Conservative. Scotland is going to the SNP and Lib Dems so the only support they have left is Wales and I don’t think that will last very long.

House Of Lords reform

House of Lords reform seems to be in the news a bit in the last couple of days. I have my own idea (as always) on how it should be dealt with:

Keep the hereditary and life peers if they want to stay but don’t pay them. Most if not all are probably rich anyway and only want to be lords for the status and they can be paid to make snobby speeches at parties that they will probably get invited to because of their status, just like so many ex prime ministers and Mrs Blair who can make 60k just be making two speeches.

These unelected lords also wouldn’t have the same voting power as the elected lords.

There would be an elected element of the lords of around 10% of MPs which would be around 65. They would have their own ‘super’ constituencies (10 mp constituencies = 1 lord constituency).

The Parliament Act would be changed. At the moment they can completely bypass all the lords and don’t have to care about them. Under my proposals the Parliament Act would be modified.

It would be modified so it could bypass the unelected Lords but the elected Lords would still have a vote.

Having an elected element may create a danger of creating a House of Commons clone which is a bad thing because the job of the Lords is to hold the government to account.

I think that the elected lords should be purely independent and the elections for lords would not include political parties. They would also have to fund themselves because donations would be banned too.

This would probably create trilateral legislature rather than a bilateral legislature though but I think the government would be far more accountable than it is now because the opposition parties have failed to hold the government to account on anything.

There would be a problem in fully independent elected lords. Would the people know what those Lords stood for? If not would the people bother to turn up and vote? If they were clear about what they stood for would it matter when they can’t initiate legislation anyway?

I don’t know the answer to any of those questions but they would have to be sorted out beforehand or the role of the Lords modified in a way to give them more power. Should we make it so that the elected lords have to agree to send troops abroad before they are sent? This would certainly stop our soldiers being sent on foreign wars but is that a good thing?

How many years would lords be elected for? I say every 6 years.

Are all cultures really equal?

Police and health authorities fear that 25,000 British girls are at risk of genital mutilation.

African immigrants are clubbing together to pay for practitioners to fly to Britain and circumcise their daughters in highly secretive rituals.

Police believe that the trend has developed among parents who do not have passports or cannot afford to return to their home countries to have their daughters circumcised, a brutal practice that remains commonplace throughout Africa.

The procedure is generally performed by elderly women, in unsterilised conditions with no anaesthetic. Children as young as five have parts or all of their clitoris or labia removed. Some have their vaginas sewn up or the flesh shrunk with corrosives.

In Britain, female circumcision — or female genital mutilation (FGM) — is illegal, and carries a maximum sentence of 14 years’ imprisonment. The penalty has, however, failed to halt the practice, with thousands of young girls taken abroad each year for that purpose. There has never been a prosecution, although it has been an offence since 1985 with the introduction of the FGM Act. Since 2003, taking a child to another country to have it done has also been an offence.

Female circumcision among the African community in Britain has been commonplace for years but the wider population has been unaware of it. Now, however, police, social services and health workers have become concerned. They believe it to be widespread, with about 25,000 young girls remaining at risk in Britain, according to the Foundation for Women’s Health Research and Development (Forward).

Diversity… had enough of it yet?

If all cultures are equal then this can’t be a bad thing? Ask that the next time you hear someone saying all cultures are equal.

It is obvious to anyone that there are inferior cultures and this is just one example. The culture of the west is vastly superior to other cultures.

This law obviously is unworkable because the victim won’t tell anyone what is happening so the law needs to be changed to ban any circumcision practitioners from even entering the country. If they are even suspected of being one then they will be deported without appeal. Those parents that are trying to get their child circumcised will be jailed and then deported. There will be no appeals on deportation.

DNA database 'should include all'

Tony Blair called yesterday for the national DNA database to be expanded to include every citizen.

He said there should be no limit on the development of the database because it was vital for catching serious criminals.

The Conservatives accused him of attempting to expand the DNA database by stealth and called for Parliament to vote on whether details of people who were innocent or not charged should be included against their wishes.

The Prime Minister said the public backed the extended use of DNA and urged police forces across the country to make use of technological advances to reopen thousands of unresolved "cold cases".

The national DNA database has expanded by about a third to 3.6 million profiles since the Criminal Justice Act 2003, which allowed police to take and keep DNA samples from everyone arrested for any imprisonable offence - regardless of whether they were eventually convicted.

The use of the new powers has proved controversial. Earlier this month, The Daily Telegraph reported that a grandmother who was arrested after a dispute with a neighbour was required to give a DNA sample. The case was later dropped for lack of evidence but her DNA will remain on the database.

The UK has the largest database in the world and is drawing attention from countries throughout Europe keen to learn from its experience.

It should not be included to include every citizen. Why should the government be allowed to hold our DNA? The government should never be allowed to have that much power.

Those that are not charged or are found innocent in court should not have their DNA on file. Only those that have been sent to jail for a legitimate offence should have their DNA on record. I don’t class calling Islam a “vile and wicked” faith a legitimate offence.

Labour is forever trying to find ways of snooping on the public. It’s time they should just piss off.

Labour cons the public

With Labour’s finances in the red they are conning people into delivering their own leaflets and making them pay for the privilege. How nice of them. It’s like how they work as the government.

Labour did apologise but did not reimburse anyone for their costs.

You can't put me on trial! It's party time!

A man accused of terror charges has been excused a first public appearance in court because he was celebrating the end of Ramadan in jail.

A total of five charges have been brought against 20-year-old Mohammed Atif Siddique, from Clackmannanshire, under the Terrorism Act of 2000.

Judge Lord Kinclaven continued the case until next month.

You couldn’t make this stuff up. Our judiciary have turned into Dhimmis. Our police are the same way to. Just look at the website of Lancashire Police. Can you spot what I am talking about?

Smokers to be given second class healthcare

Smokers will be denied life-changing operations unless they agree to kick the habit, it was revealed today.

Cash-strapped hospitals say patients will not be given treatments such as hip and knee replacements until they try to give up. Those who fail could be denied treatment all together.

Regular readers will know I support something similar to this. I support banning free healthcare for treatments to do with smoking related illnesses. I don’t support banning all free healthcare just because a person smokes.

Smokers pay a lot of taxes. If they are going to be given a blanket ban on all treatment I assume the government will remove tax on tobacco and make smokers pay less in national insurance payments seeing as they will be given second class healthcare?

French police face 'permanent intifada'

On a routine call, three unwitting police officers fell into a trap. A car darted out to block their path, and dozens of hooded youths surged out of the darkness to attack them with stones, bats and tear gas before fleeing. One officer was hospitalized.

The recent ambush was emblematic of what some officers say has become a near-perpetual and increasingly violent conflict between police and gangs in tough, largely immigrant French neighborhoods that were the scene of a three-week paroxysm of rioting last year.

On Sunday, a band of about 30 youths, some wearing masks, forced passengers out of a bus in a southern Paris suburb in broad daylight Sunday, set it on fire, then stoned firefighters who came to the rescue, police said. No one was injured. Two people were arrested, one of them a 13-year-old, according to LCI television.

Ethnic integration and violence against police are both becoming issues in the campaign for the French presidency. Interior Minister Nicolas Sarkozy, the leading contender on the right, said this month that those who do not love France do not have to stay, echoing a longtime slogan of the extreme-right National Front: "France, love it or leave it."

"First, it was a rock here or there. Then it was rocks by the dozen. Now, they're leading operations of an almost military sort to trap us," said Loic Lecouplier, a police union official in the Seine-Saint-Denis region north of Paris. "These are acts of war."

Sadio Sylla, an unemployed mother of three, watched the Oct. 13 ambush of the police patrol in Epinay-sur-Seine from her second-floor window. She, other witnesses and police union officials said up to 50 masked youths dashed out from behind trees.

One of the three officers needed 30 stitches to his face after being struck by a rock. On Saturday, five people were placed under investigation for attempted murder in relation to the ambush.

I thought they were just throwing rocks and stuff like that but they even have tear gas. Sounds like they are as well armed as the police in some instances and when they aren’t as well armed they use shear numbers to overpower the police and even the police think they are using military tactics.

Atleast French politicians are realising that Le Pen and the Front Nationale were right all along. It’s time for the French to vote for him in the next presidential election. I truly think that they have a chance of winning.

If Le Pen isn’t elected I honestly don’t think France will ever solve this. He is a hardliner and I am convinced he would solve it. I would send the troops in and lay down martial law in the areas where they are attacking police. I would then raid every house. If someone is found that had been rioting they would have a trial and if found guilty immediately deported.

Blair caught lying to troops

Thousands of British troops including SAS soldiers have been 'cynically betrayed' after frontline allowances were reduced behind their backs.

The cuts have been uncovered by The Mail on Sunday less than a fortnight after Tony Blair and Ministers boasted they were paying tax-free bonuses of £2,240 to soldiers in danger zones like Iraq and Afghanistan.

But now a change in allowances when troops are separated from their families means those deployed on two six-month tours over two years will have their payments reduced from £6,679 before tax to £4,338, a loss of £2,341.

It wasn’t too long ago that he said that troops wouldn’t have to pay tax on their wages and now he reduces their wages so it’s the same as it was anyway.

Blair has betrayed our hardworking brave troops and expects them to fight in terrible conditions in a foreign land just so he can cosy up to Bush.

Sooner or later our army is going to be so sick of the exploitation that most will quit and we won’t have an army to speak of but that’s what Labour wants. Since they have got into power they have literally destroyed our armed forces and have no remorse for doing so. Shot these traitors out wherever you find them at the next elections.

EU: No more pints of beer for you

An extraordinary row, involving major European and US industries, is blowing up over the European Commission's determination to make it illegal, in three years' time, for any products made in or imported into the EU to carry any reference to non-metric measures. Not only will this cost industries on both sides of the Atlantic billions of dollars and euros, but it is in direct breach of US federal law.

The Commission is so set on stamping out the hated non-metric system that, as of January 1, 2010, it is imposing a total ban on what it calls "supplementary indications" – ie any mention of inches, pounds or other non-metric units in advertising, labelling, catalogues, manuals and the like.

What will become illegal, under directive 80/181, is the current freedom of choice whereby both systems can be used to assist understanding; as, for instance, where a supermarket or market stall puts "lbs" as well as kilograms; or where car tyres are identified in a mix of inches and millimetres and their pressures can still be legally measured either in bars or in pounds per square inch. (It will hardly promote safety when most British drivers haven't a clue how much air to put in their tyres and it becomes illegal for the pump to indicate the "psi" equivalent.)

In other words, any US company wishing to sell to the EU will have to set up separate inventories and warehousing to ensure that its products carry no reference to non-metric units. Any European firm wishing to sell to the US will not be allowed to refer at all to the units its American customers understand. This in itself will be illegal under the US Fair Trade and Packaging Act, which permits use of metric units only so long as they are accompanied by a US non-metric "translation".

Say goodbye to a pint of beer.

What exactly is the point of not allowing both measurements to be shown? Is it just to take our identity and culture away?

Why exactly do they want to get into conflict with America when they can just give companies an option of what measurements they want to take?

The only people that are going to be hurt by this are the consumers. The companies will just pass on the costs to their customers and if people don’t know the equivalent measure of things they are just going to be confused. So what’s the point?

It’s a bad idea but for some reason the EU can’t tell that they are stupid but what can you expect from people who want to make us keep our car headlights on during the day?

Racial murders: nearly 50% of victims are white

Nearly half of all victims of racially motivated murders in the last decade have been white, according to official figures released by the Home Office.

Senior police officers have admitted that 'political correctness' and the fear of discussing the issue have meant that race crime against white people goes under-reported. One chief constable has claimed that white, working-class men are more alienated than the Muslim community.

Peter Fahy, the Chief Constable of Cheshire and a spokesman on race issues for the Association of Chief Police Officers, said it was a fact that it was harder to get the media interested where murder victims were young white men.

That is probably right that whites are more alienated than the Muslim community. We constantly get treated that second class citizens who the police, media and government couldn’t give a toss about.

As for Mr Fahy it’s been like that for years but the media have their very own agenda. They have never cared about white murders because they don’t make good stories unlike the poor black man who may have got beaten up because he was white.

Atleast now the government and police are admitting this. Isn’t it strange that the government start saying what the BNP have been saying for years? First it was saying multiculturalism has failed, and then it was saying that veils are bad and now they are saying that whites are more likely to be the victims of racial attacks? What next, saying the EU is a failure?

NHS spends £300 million to remove tattoos

THE National Health Service spent tens of millions of pounds removing nearly 200,000 tattoos last year, according to figures released by the Department of Health last week.

Rosie Winterton, the health minister, said in a Commons written answer that doctors had carried out the procedure, involving either skin grafts or lasers, on 187,063 tattoos.

Even conservative estimates of the cost of removing a small tattoo under anaesthetic on the NHS put the bill for 2004-05 at £37m, but some consultants suggested a figure of £300m.

Because tattoos penetrate under the skin, removing them is expensive. The tattooed area must be cut out and skin grafted over the gap. Removing tattoos with skin grafts in the private sector can cost £1,000-£2,500. Laser surgery costs from a minimum £200 to more than £2,500.

Why should the NHS be paying for the removal of tattoos? If people want them removed the taxpayer should not have to pay for it.

It’s simply a waste of money that the NHS urgently needs. How many hospitals could that money have saved to stop them from closing down in the NHS crisis we are now in?

The NHS should only be for illnesses and injuries that is no fault of your own.

It's official: BBC is biased

It was the day that a host of BBC executives and star presenters admitted what critics have been telling them for years: the BBC is dominated by trendy, Left-leaning liberals who are biased against Christianity and in favour of multiculturalism.

A leaked account of an 'impartiality summit' called by BBC chairman Michael Grade, is certain to lead to a new row about the BBC and its reporting on key issues, especially concerning Muslims and the war on terror.

It reveals that executives would let the Bible be thrown into a dustbin on a TV comedy show, but not the Koran, and that they would broadcast an interview with Osama Bin Laden if given the opportunity. Further, it discloses that the BBC's 'diversity tsar', wants Muslim women newsreaders to be allowed to wear veils when on air.

At the secret meeting in London last month, which was hosted by veteran broadcaster Sue Lawley, BBC executives admitted the corporation is dominated by homosexuals and people from ethnic minorities, deliberately promotes multiculturalism, is anti-American, anti-countryside and more sensitive to the feelings of Muslims than Christians.

In one of a series of discussions, executives were asked to rule on how they would react if the controversial comedian Sacha Baron Cohen ) known for his offensive characters Ali G and Borat - was a guest on the programme Room 101.

On the show, celebrities are invited to throw their pet hates into a dustbin and it was imagined that Baron Cohen chose some kosher food, the Archbishop of Canterbury, a Bible and the Koran.

Nearly everyone at the summit, including the show's actual producer and the BBC's head of drama, Alan Yentob, agreed they could all be thrown into the bin, except the Koran for fear of offending Muslims.

In a debate on whether the BBC should interview Osama Bin Laden if he approached them, it was decided the Al Qaeda leader would be given a platform to explain his views.

We pay our license fee so these people can deliberately force multiculturalism down our throats and even commit treason by giving Bin Laden a platform to spew his hatred.

They hate Christianity and would rather have Islam.

The license payers pay for this treasonous Dhimmi organisation so we should have a say on how it is run. If we have to pay a license fee we should have a say in how it is run. I say we have a minister for the BBC who shall say what we have on the BBC and purge the BBC of all traitors and multiculturalists that refuse to stop their biased reporting and biased programme making. If they want to have a job they should change their ways or find somewhere else to work.

Al-Qaeda winning battle of ideas with Brit Muslims

John Reid has issued a dire warning that the Government risks losing the "battle of ideas" with al-Qaeda.

The Home Secretary spoke out at an emergency meeting of ministers and security officials amid an ever-growing threat from home-grown Islamist terror groups.

Ministers have told The Sunday Telegraph that 30 terror plots are being investigated and that 1,500 young Muslims — many more than previously estimated — are suspects.

This comes just days after it was reported that Britain is now the top target for Al-Qaeda.

If we aren’t winning the battle of ideas why are we letting even more Muslims into this country? Why not win the battle of the boarders by not allowing anyone else in and deported all those suspects that were not born in this country?

30 terror plots is a lot more than I expected there would be and what is scary is that our security services probably don’t know about all of them.

If anything happens we know who to blame, Blair is the man whose reckless policies allowed this to happen. He should be punished just like all the terrorists should.

99% want veil banned

It looks like people think like me. Ever since I started this blog I have called for the banning of the veil and burqua. A Daily Express poll which was responded to in “massive numbers” shows that 99% want the veil banned.

People are finally seeing the light and are realising that people like Mrs Azmi are taking the piss and are trying to take us for all we are worth.

She has already lost her case but has vowed to fight on funded by taxpayers’ money which could eventually cost as much as £250,000 and she will probably win if it goes to a European Court.

If she was really so concerned about her veil why didn’t she wear it during an interview with a male governor? All she wanted was attention, money and to bleed the ‘kaffir’ taxpayers.

You can't arrest me! It's Ramadan!

Police in Manchester have been told not to arrest Muslims wanted on warrants at prayer times during Ramadan.

Greater Manchester Police confirmed it had asked detectives not to make planned arrests during those periods for reasons of religious sensitivity.

The advice was emailed out to officers working in Moss Side, Hulme, Whalley Range, Rusholme, Fallowfield, Ardwick, Longsight, Gorton and Levenshulme.

"The month of Ramadan is an important time of the year for members of the Muslim community throughout the world.

"It is important that normal, planned policing activities and operations are maintained, while ensuring that officers are professional and respectful to members of the community while going about their duties."

Why should they be respectful to any criminal? Shouldn’t the first job of the police be to arrest criminals no matter what their religious and social situation is? Will Christians be exempt from being arrested on Sundays or during Lent? I doubt it. Infact there are no other ‘communities’ that get such special treatment.

If you are not a Muslim the police are telling you that you are second class citizens.

Aren’t warrants usually used for things like drugs raids and paedophilia? Muslim drug dealers and paedophiles can now rest in peace knowing that they won’t be arrested as long as Ramadan lasts.

News from the intifada

The figures are stark. An average of 112 cars a day have been torched across France so far this year and there have been 15 attacks a day on police and emergency services. Nearly 3,000 police officers have been injured in clashes this year. Officers have been badly injured in four ambushes in the Paris outskirts since September. Some police talk of open war with youths who are bent on more than vandalism.

“The thing that has changed over the past month is that they now want to kill us,” said Bruno Beschizza, the leader of Synergie, a union to which 40 per cent of officers belong. Action Police, a hardline union, said: “We are in a civil war, orchestrated by radical Islamists.”

Car-burning has become so routine on the estates that it has been eclipsed in news coverage by the violence against police.

National politics seem far from Clichy, a leafy town of hulking apartment buildings only ten miles but a universe away from the Elysée Palace. However, the Interior Minister is cited by the estate youths as the symbol of their anger. “Sarko wants to wipe us out, clear us off the map,” said Rachid, 19. “They said they would help us after last year, but we’ve got nothing.”

Rachid, why should you get anything other than a bullet in the brain? You riot burn cars and attack police and you expect to be rewarded?

If they are openly attacking police then it is open warfare. The police should open fire on any rioters in an attempt to kill them. Killing and not arresting or injuring should be the main objective from now on. If they want a war they should be given one.

October 21: Battle of Trafalgar day

England
expects that every man will do his duty.

The battle of Trafalgar was the most significant naval engagement of the Napoleonic wars, establishing British supremacy at sea for many years thereafter. The British fleet, led by Lord Nelson, attacked an allied French and Spanish fleet off Cape Trafalgar with the intention of preventing them from passing through the straits of Gibraltar into the Mediterranean. Nelson’s tactics outwitted Villeneuve, commander of the French and Spanish fleet, and the British won the day.
Sadly, at the height of the battle, Nelson was fatally wounded by a musket shot and his illustrious career was brought to an untimely end. As he lay dying in the cockpit of the victory, Captain Thomas hardy brought him frequent reports on the progress of the battle. Finally Nelson is said to have uttered his last request, "kiss me hardy", and then to have died with the words, "now I am satisfied. Thank god, I have done my duty".
Some historians believe Nelson may have said "kismet hardy" (fate).
The famous "England expects..." signal, quoted above, was originally to have read "Nelson confides that every man will do his duty".”Nelson" was changed to "England" to make the message less personal, and "confides" was changed to "expects" for the simple reason of practicality and speed: "expects was a word in the signalling vocabulary that could be signalled with a single combination of flags, whereas "confides" would have had to be spelt out with eight single letter signals.

Admiral Lord Horatio Nelson (1758-1805), a great British hero.

Immigration is good says Simon Heffer

I think we will all agree that Simon Heffer is an idiot after reading the following article:

One of the few immigration stories not to aggrieve me in the past few months has been the influx of Poles. Some of my best friends are Poles. In my experience, Poles work extremely hard, are keen to assimilate and quickly become full, contributing members of society. How unlike, you might observe, quite a few of us.

Wouldn’t you work hard if you were getting 4 times more income than you received in your own country? Our minimum wage must be a fortune to them. It’s the equivalent of £20 per hour. Wouldn’t you be willing to work hard for 50 or 60 hours per week for that?

Why should Britons be willing to work as slaves so their already billion pound supermarket empire can make another few billion? What is wrong with just earning £600 million? What are you going to spend that extra £400 million on? Why can’t you just wait another year to earn the next £400 million?

Earlier this week, there was a jobs fair in Warsaw, at which top British companies such as Tesco pitched for the services of the next wave of Poles to come to this country. It was not without irony that this took place on the same day that Britain recorded the highest unemployment figures for six years — according to government statistics, 962,000 people are claiming jobless benefits. There are also nearly three million on incapacity benefit, a third of whom, the Government also estimates, are fit to return to some form of work. We heard a couple of weeks ago that anything up to 200,000 people are not working because their brains are addled by drink or drugs. When all that is taken into consideration, it is just as well we have the dear old Poles to keep the country functioning.

It would function anyway if people were given a living wage instead of a pittance for working up to 60 hours per week when they would hardly get to see their children.

Why do Tesco need to go to Poland anyway? They have already earned £1.09 billion in just six months of business. If they keep going they will earn £2.5 billion for the whole year. Why can’t they pay their staff a little more? Just a 20% increase isn’t going to stop Tesco making a billion pounds for the year.

I don’t think Simon Heffer has ever had a minimum wage job where he has had to work 60 hours a week just to afford the food in his and his children’s bellies, the roof over their heads and electricity and gas to keep warm. Please Simon get a real job in a place like Tesco for 6 months. Live solely on their wages and see how you feel about the dole then.

Protect human rights of Paedos or kids?

A Gloucestershire school has been forced to allow a paedophile to use its gym after being told that banning him could breach his human rights, it was claimed.

Worried parent Anthony Callaghan told the authorities when he learnt that a man using the sports centre at Whitecross School in Lydney, had been convicted of sexually abusing three girls aged 12 and 13 in 1999.

But he claims solicitors for the school and local council told him they could not suspend the man's membership in case they infringed his human rights.

The child abuser has been allowed to continue using the leisure centre's facilities, which are shared by pupils and the public, despite his past.

The council-run gym, which has a pool, sports hall and fitness suite, is located next to the comprehensive school. To gain access to the facilities, adults must go through the school, and pass by the girls' and boys' changing areas, which are often being used during visiting times.

It is understood that the man has been taken off the sex offenders' register, which makes it difficult to legally ban him.

I have a question for anyone that can answer. How long is it after you have served a sentence for a sex crime that you are taken off the sex offenders register? It can’t be long and it is ridiculous either way. He sexually assaults THREE girls in 1999 and is released by 2006. So he gets less than 7 years for a despicable crime that he should hang for.

Why would he want to go to that gym anyway if it wasn’t for the fact that he can get to children easier? Surely there must be other gyms in the area? In my area there is 3 (that I know of) within a 30 minute drive. Even if there isn’t he shouldn’t be allowed near children for the rest of his life.

I hope the parents of that school create a kind of ‘neighbourhood watch’ where they pay an official at school to phone one of them to inform the parents when he is there so the parents can have a ‘chat’ to ‘persuade’ him never to go there again. Think that might damage his human rights? TOUGH! Was he thinking about the human rights of his victims? I doubt it. Paedophiles should automatically forfeit their human rights once they commit a crime like that.

Britannia rules the waves... but for how long?

The EU has been accused of a 'sinister' plan to abolish the sovereignty of Britain's territorial waters.

In what critics said would mean Brussels, rather than Britannia, ruling the waves, it emerged the EU is proposing a new 'common maritime space'.

Extraordinarily, sailing by ferry between Britain and the Continent would no longer be considered a trip abroad but a 'national' journey between two sectors of the European Union.

As part of the latest shake-up, plans have also been drawn up for an EU coastguard.

The shipping industry is concerned the commission will subsequently attempt to protect its maritime space by restricting journeys made by ships which do not fly the EU flag.

Under the Brussels plan for a borderless 'common European maritime space', a ferry crossing from Dover to Calais will be classed as a domestic voyage because at no time will the vessel leave EU waters.

Our MPs will make sounds that they won’t let this happen but you can guarantee it will happen if the EU pushes it forward. I doubt we could even veto a policy like this – don’t hold me on that the though. I could be wrong. Even if we can veto it you can guarantee that our leaders will betray us like they have done since Heath.

The EU is the biggest threat to freedom since Hitler. It must be resisted or we will cease to be a nation forever.

We don’t need common maritime space for whatever reason even if it is to make trading easier. How much easier can it be? We also don’t need a European coastguard. Our own works adequately and I don’t see how it could get any better if the EU had their way.

So I have a message for Brussels:

PISS OFF!

Unemployment and immigration

There are 1.5 million foreign workers in this country. This doesn’t include illegal immigrants

There are 1.7 million unemployed Brits in this country.

If we didn’t let any of the 1.5 million foreigners in we could have given those jobs to Brits and then there would be only 200,000 unemployed. There would be even less than that if there was no illegal immigrants.

If we say we have a labour force (adults) of 40 million. This would mean we would have an unemployment rate of 0.5%. When has it ever been that low?

We don’t need immigrants to do the jobs in Britain. There are no jobs Brits won’t do for the right amount of money. Why should Brits be made to work like slaves just so they can keep up with Eastern Europeans that are only working to make the rich richer?

Labour to deal with immigration the wrong way

Labour will today promise to belatedly close the door to low-skilled workers from the Third World amid evidence migrants are forcing Britons out of jobs.

Immigration Minister Liam Byrne will say enough immigrants are flooding into the UK from Eastern Europe to fill vacancies in agriculture and other low-paid jobs.

The Government expects Eastern Europeans and other EU nationals will fill jobs in restaurants, building sites and agriculture.

More than 600,000 Eastern Europeans have already flocked here since EU expansion on May 1, 2004. Hundreds of thousands more are expected to follow when Bulgaria and Romania join next year.

It took them nine years to figure it out and they are going about the solution the wrong way. They say that Eastern Europeans are the biggest problem yet they only ban the none-eastern Europeans. Does that sound like idiocy to anyone else or is it just me? It’s the logical equivalent of curing the problem of crime by only arresting the fast drivers and leaving the murderers, rapists and paedophiles. Oops shouldn’t have said that, they might actually do it.

Britain now top target for Al-Qaeda

Britain
is the top target of the Al-Qaeda terrorist network, which now presents a bigger threat than ever before, a newspaper reported.

Citing unnamed anti-terrorism chiefs, The Guardian newspaper said that Al-Qaeda had regrouped and recovered its organisation in Pakistan, despite a more-than-four-year campaign by a US-led coalition to wipe out the network.

In that time, the newspaper reported, the terror organisation has become a more coherent network with a regular supply of volunteers.

Britain is seen as an easier threat for Al-Qaeda than many other countries because of its historic links with Pakistan, with tens of thousands of travellers between the two countries each year, the newspaper reported.

What does that tell us?

First of all it tells us that the war on terror has done fuck all to stop terrorism and that our part has actually increased the risk of terrorism. Bravo Mr Blair. I hope you’re proud.

Second of all it shows what open boarders can do. We wouldn’t be at risk if we actually took action against immigration. Read it again for all you doubters: “Britain is seen as an easier threat for Al-Qaeda than many other countries because of its historic links with Pakistan, with tens of thousands of travellers between the two countries each year, the newspaper reported.”

Still don’t believe it? Then you’re a fool.

Brown lies to businessmen

The Chancellor has promised to cut the amount of regulatory red tape imposed on British companies by a quarter. In a pledge ahead of today's financial services summit at No 11 Downing Street, Gordon Brown argued he wants to free British companies from red tape.

Oh really Mr Brown? I assume you are aware that most of that regulation comes from the EU? Are you simply bullshitting or are we going to leave the EU if you get into power? I call BS.

Labour are so used to lying to this country that they can’t stop anymore even though they know that we know that they are lying. Labour, especially Brown is a bunch of pathological liars. They just can’t stop themselves.

Christians blamed for muslim homo bashers

The Gay Police Association has made an anti Christian advert demonising Christians after a 74% increase in homo bashing crimes where the criminal carried the attack out for religious reasons. What the ad didn’t mention was the fact that a quarter of the alleged incidents were provoked by Muslims even though Muslims only make up 2.7% of the population according to the 2001 census.

Why wasn’t attention in the advert focused on the disproportionate number of attacks committed by Muslims? Why go for Christians instead? Could it be because everyone would be up in arms about it and that Christians are now an easy target because no one will complain?

Jobless figure worst for 6 years

Unemployment jumped by 45,000 to its worst level for six years, even though more people are in work, new figures reveal.

A total of 1.7 million people were out of work in the three months to August, a quarter of a million more than a year ago.

The only reason more people are in work is because our population has exploded. The only people in work are the Eastern Europeans. Wages of British people are being undermined because the owners of businesses are importing MILLIONS of cheap labourers to work for them. British people cannot work for such low wages. Why would any Brit work for minimum wage for 60 hours per week? I can understand why Eastern Europeans do. There are many reasons. Here are just 2:

  1. Minimum wage in Poland is less than 25% of what it is here. Minimum wage in Bulgaria is less than 10% of what it is here. So what they earn here is a fortune in their own country. Would you work for £55 per hour 60 hours per week? Within 1 month you would have earned more than your average yearly wage. Isn’t that good especially if there is a possibility that you may earn slightly more than the minimum wage?

  1. Many poles and Eastern Europeans tend to live together when they reach Britain, sometimes 10 to a house. They can then share the bills which aren’t much if it is shared between lots of workers but it is a lot if you live with your family and have children who aren’t yet old enough to work.

Clowning lessons for refugees

Young asylum seekers and refugees are to be given free clowning lessons at taxpayers' expense to help them adapt to life in Britain, it emerged.

The youngsters aged 12 to 25 will learn slapstick routines, how to tumble, silly walks and how to fall over during a course of nine theatre workshops.

Being taught to be a clown? Why would they want to be like Blair?

I don’t see how this would make them adapt to life in Britain unless they think we are all clowns? Well our regime seems to think we are clowns. They laugh at us all the time.

If the asylum seekers really want to fit in they should be mugged by other asylum seekers. They would fit right in then and if they actually didn’t know how to fall over it would sure show them how to.

Intifada leads to government crisis talks

An update on what I reported yesterday about the intifada on French police.

It is getting so bad in Paris that the French government have called crisis talks with community leaders in an effort to halt mounting violence in suburbs around Paris.

Isn’t it time something was done? It’s now gone too far. The French should declare martial law on those areas where the police are attacked a lot. They can’t wait for the Front Nationale to get into government. They need action now.

If we keep giving concessions to the islamofascists this is what will happen to London. Do you want that to happen? If not then use your common sense to vote BNP.

Slavery studies to become compulsory at school

The slave trade and its abolition 200 years ago could become a compulsory subject in schools, it emerged yesterday.

The move is being considered as part of a review of diversity within the National Curriculum ordered by Alan Johnson, the Education Secretary.

Will our children be learning about the fact that North African pirates took millions of white Europeans as slaves hundreds of years before Europeans started slavery in Africa? I think not.

What about the fact that Europeans bought their African slaves from African tribal leaders? I think not again.

Are our children only going to be learning about evil whitey and their role in the slave trade? I think they will. Our government hate whites and they are doing everything they can to destroy white civilisation and make us out to be evil when in fact whites didn’t play a major role in slavery. It was the African tribes and pirates that played the biggest role in slavery but that will not get taught because it will be deemed as ‘racist’ but it is ok to be racist towards whites as whites don’t seem to matter anymore.

Commons refuse to show their expenses

The House of Commons has refused to give details of how much each MP claims in travel expenses despite two recent rulings from the Freedom of Information (FoI) watchdog ordering politicians to open their books.

An order by the Scottish FoI commissioner recently led to a huge drop in the amount that members of the Scottish Parliament claimed for travel, and exposed abuse by two MSPs that led one to quit and another to resign as Tory leader.

Well doesn’t that show that our parliament is full of criminals? Why shouldn’t we be allowed to see their individual travel expenses? They work for us and we pay for their expenses. If they want to keep them they should show us how much they spend.

No doubt we will probably find a load of the MPs abusing the system like they did straightaway in Scotland but then again their Parliament actually works to help Scotland while ours help them selves.

Blair holding giant keggers

The cost of entertaining by Tony Blair at 10 Downing Street and Chequers soared to more than £101,178 last year.

The annual bill has almost doubled since Labour came to power in 1997 when the cost of parties at the Prime Minister's residences was £57,303.

The figures for 2005-6 - a 40 per cent increase over two years ago - were revealed in a parliamentary answer to inquiries by John Hayes, the Tory MP.

The entire Government has spent about half a million pounds on wine in the past five years - with Downing Street having to buy its share from the official government cellars.

That’s one good kegger… so now we know why Labour is so crap at their job. They are drunk on half a million pounds worth of wine. I think they are just celebrating what a fantastic job they have done of ruining the country though. It can’t be anything else.

Where does Blair get the cheek to spend so much money on parties? What has he got to celebrate? Since he has came to power this country has become worse than it was under the Tories. Once he gets shot out of Downing Street I hope he pays the full cost of the parties he has hosted.

3 years and a big difference

This is an article by Denis MacShane is Labour MP for Rotherham and worked at the Foreign Office as PPS and minister, 1997-2005.

His hypocrisy is astounding. Here’s what he says today:

At long last, the debate on Islamism as politics, not Islam as religion, is out in the open. Two weeks ago, Jack Straw might have felt he was taking a risk when publishing his now notorious article on the Muslim veil. However, he was pushing at an open door. From across the political spectrum there is now common consent that the old multicultural emperor, before whom generation of politicians have made obeisance, is now a pitiful, naked sight.

Here is what he said in a speech 3 years ago:

It is a crucial time to be active in tackling racism and xenophobia. Europe has seen a rise in support for far right political parties and the spread of Islamophobia across Europe, so being active and engaging with ethnic communities across Europe is as important now as ever before.

Mr MacShane, Why are you jumping on the bandwagon and saying things we know that you don’t mean. 3 years ago you never wanted a debate. You did everything you could to halt any debate on Islam. Is it because your political neck is on the line which you are now coming out and saying you want a debate? Are you running scared of the BNP who could capture your ground?

You’re also rubbishing immigration but 3 years ago you loved it:

Britain today draws strength and vitality from the diversity of its society. Over the past thirty years, we have grown as a nation through the contribution our ethnic minority communities make to our culture, politics and economic prosperity. My friends and colleagues in Sheffield, Rotherham and South Yorkshire are active in promoting inclusion by encouraging community regeneration projects, a multi-agency approach to racial incidents and alliances between ethnic minority communities. I hope that these ideas and experiences can be spread into and throughout Europe in the future.

Which is it? Do you support multiculturalism or not? What made you change your mind?

He sounds like he card carrying multiculturalist but he has suddenly changed his mind? Can Labour MPs actually tell the truth without it being shown for everyone to see? Probably not.

NOT IN MY NAME!

TENS of millions of rabbits, mice and guinea pigs are facing a painful death in laboratory experiments to be imposed next April because of new European Union rules on chemical testing.

The new laws will set compulsory tests for about 30,000 chemicals that have been on the market since before 1981, when there were no stringent health and safety requirements.

Many of the chemicals are used in household items, from shampoo to children’s toys, and EU policymakers have pushed for the new standards, arguing that too little is known about the dangers for human health and the environment.

Current estimates of the number of animals to be affected range from the 16m predicted by the chemicals industry to 45m over 15 years calculated by Germany’s Federal Institute for Risk Assessment.

The toxicological experiments will include chemicals dropped into rabbits’ eyes, irritants tested on guinea pigs’ skin and cancerous tumours grown on mice. The health risks of chemical exposure during pregnancy will also be assessed on rabbits, causing their babies to be stillborn.

In a U-turn last week David Cameron, the Conservative leader, pledged that his 26 MEPs would back the legislation, boosting hopes that it will be finalised by the end of the year.

This is disgusting. If these were humans being killed we would be calling it genocide because that’s exactly what it is. Tens of millions of animals will die just so the EU can see what happens to them and ‘Call me Dave’ is supporting this.

Why do they need to find out the effects of these chemicals now anyway? They have been in use for more than 25 years. If there was a problem with those chemicals don’t you think we would know by now?

I will not have this genocide committed in my name.

Please, if you are reading this send it to as many people as you can so we can tell the EU:

NOT IN OUR NAME!

EU: Car lights should be on during the day

MOTORISTS may be forced to switch on their headlights when driving in daylight under European proposals aimed at improving road safety.

The European Commission wants all EU states to set a common date for making daytime running lights mandatory. It is also proposing that all new cars be fitted with lights that turn on automatically whenever the engine is started.

It claims that this will save between 1,200 and 2,000 lives a year across the EU, because cars will be more conspicuous to vulnerable road users such as pedestrians and cyclists.

The Government opposes the idea, but admitted this week that it was losing the argument and would be unable to veto a European directive.

The Government is also concerned that daytime running lights would increase fuel consumption and pollution.

Motoring groups claim that fuel consumption and carbon dioxide emissions increase by 3 per cent when drivers use dipped lights.

WTF? This is the most stupid thing I have ever heard. I can see cars perfectly well in day time. Why would you need cars to have lights on when they are already lit up by the daytime?

Is it really worth it even if it does only increase carbon dioxide emissions by 3%?

This is complete madness.

It might be a good idea in places like Scandinavia where it is dark a lot but it isn’t needed here and the fact that we can’t veto it just makes it seem more and more idiotic.

The intifada continues

Remember 11 days ago when I showed that Muslims are waging an intifada against police in France? I can hardly believe it was only 11 days ago when I posted it.

It’s still happening.

Police had to use their firearms to escape from a gang of youths who allegedly ambushed and stoned a police car in a suburb north of Paris at the weekend - the fourth incident of its kind in recent weeks. One policeman was seriously injured by stones hurled by youths. His two colleagues fired their weapons over the heads of gang members in a housing estate in the normally calm suburb of Epinay-sur-Seine. Their patrol car was trapped when a driverless vehicle was rolled behind it by a group of up to 50 youths, according to police.

Come on Frenchies I know that the stereotypical Frenchman is a white flag waving pants pisser but why would you fire above their heads? Why not at their heads? I am sure those youths would get the message then or atleast be a bit more scared.

Atleast there will soon be elections in France where the Front Nationale may win. When they do you can forget about that happening again.
