Blogpower voting on me!

Blogpower is running a poll on my blog on whether it should stay or not. Interestingly one of the options is ‘Disband’. I don’t think they would ever disband but it would be weird if one BNP blog brought down the whole of the blogging alliance.

Is it ok to call my blog ‘controversial’ now?

It seems that the status quo lot are winning by only one vote at the moment. It’s sad that so many blogpowerers aren’t inclusive even though one of the reasons they hate the BNP is probably because we aren’t inclusive enough. Oh well.

This is like the shot heard around the world that started the American War of Independence, on Lexington Green, Mass., April 19, 1775.

this goes to show how liberal the "liberals" are.

Liberals often aren't liberal. For real liberation, try some anarchy!

I don't think many of the people on the blogpower roll would like to be thought of as liberal. Anyway this isn't a question of liberal versus illiberal its not about freedom of expression, its about the promotion of opinions which are ones you feel unsympathetic too. Many blogpowerers dislike the stance of the BNP and feel that they don't wish to promote views from someone who says they are a member of the BNP. That's it. They aren't stopping you doing what you want on your own website. Liberals have the right to associate with who they choose and don't have to associate with everyone- they just have to allow the right for everyone to associate the way they wish to as well. Nobody is banning your blog- they are just removing you from their blogrolls.

You mean those who tell the truth?

Interesting, ydkm, that you say 'they', referring to what I thought was 'us'. Aren't you still in there, with a substantial proportion supporting your right to be there?

I don't mind telling you the current state of play.

People are definitely polarized and both sides are quite vehement. So it looks like either decision will lose the others. However, we've possibly hit on another way and we'll post on that tomorrow.

It could solve the whole problem perhaps.

Since I am not the author of defendingtheblog I cannot say 'we'.

It is unfortunate that this will probably split the co-operative. This was not my intention. I didn't think what I blogged was so offensive.

Isn't it interesting that anonymous says that
"Liberals have the right to associate with who they choose and don't have to associate with everyone- they just have to allow the right for everyone to associate the way they wish to as well"
Liberals band together with who they choose, that is their right, BNP members do, they are racist.
Legislation is already here and more is on the way to take away the right to free association, forced integration is here. Modern day "Liberals" in this country are the most illiberal people there have ever been. Everyone is free to associate with who they want and to hold and express any opinion they want, as long as it fits the liberal ideal, such is the nature of fascism.
