Sedgefield by-election

Labour and Liberal Democrat activists in Sedgefield are meeting on Tuesday to select their candidates to fight the by-election on 19 July.

The Tories and UK Independence Party have already chosen their candidates for the contest, which follows Tony Blair's decision to quit as an MP.

Labour and the Lib Dems are both holding hustings.

No mention of the BNP who will be contesting the election. Sedgefield BNP has already chosen their candidate. Their candidate is Andrew Spence who was a fuel protester in 2005. I am thinking about going up to Sedgefield and helping with the campaign but I haven’t fully decided yet.
