Pray to Allah or detention!

Two schoolboys were
given detention after refusing to kneel down and 'pray to Allah' during a religious education lesson.

Parents were outraged that the two boys from year seven (11 to 12-year-olds) were punished for not wanting to take part in the practical demonstration of how Allah is worshipped.

They said forcing their children to take part in the exercise at Alsager High School, near Stoke-on-Trent - which included wearing Muslim headgear - was a breach of their human rights.

Who do these people think they are? They have no right forcing children to pray to Allah. They are not Muslims. The teacher who did this should be sacked on the spot. Fortunately there is a lot of BNP support in Stoke and this will just get even more support to come forward for the BNP.

Dumbed down education

Education is being dumbed down again. It’s not really a surprise though. 14 year olds will be able to pass their maths exam by scoring 21% while in the GCSE exams you will be glad to know that those who take the exam can get marks for writing things like “fuck off”. I wonder if they could get a C if they wrote a load of swear words…

Children are no longer being challenged by these exams. We should be getting our school pupils to take tougher exams like the IGCSE so that our future workers are on par with workers from other countries.

Whites discriminated against in all areas of life

Congratulations to all white males. You are now discriminated in all aspects of life. That’s equality you see.

When you went to school you will have found that you were discriminated against when your black classmates had more funding given to their education, infact they have access to £178 million worth of grants for their education while you get nothing. When you leave school you will be happy to find that the government are now planning to make it legal so that employers can discriminate against you and hire a black man even though you might be more qualified for the job.

Are you happy to find out what Labour is doing to you? That’s not all either. You will be happy to know that if you ever become hard up and have to rely on a charity (because you have received a terrible education and can’t get a job because you aren’t black enough) the government has been giving £18 million to ethnic minority charities while nothing is given to white charities

Would you like to try and stick up for white people by standing for the local council? Well the government are trying to get more ethnic minority councillors. They don’t really want you to stand but there is nothing stopping you yet.

Maybe you should become a fire fighter instead? Well that’s a bad idea too. You see the government has a quota for none whites. If the fire service doesn’t meet it they will have to give up £2 million in funding. Are you worth 2 million? I thought not.

Why not join the police force instead and kick the arses of criminals? Sorry this isn’t allowed either unless you don’t mind having inferior candidates promoted ahead of you. If that’s the case you might do well.

Don’t like all of this? Do you feel like committing suicide to get away from it all? You should phone the Samaritans first, well that’s if they still exist in your area. You see in some parts of the country depressed whites are phoning in such numbers that they are being denied access to money because they don’t help enough black people.

Suicide probably isn’t the answer to reverse the discrimination that whites receive. For the answer you should click here.

Changing the education system

Our education system is inferior to many other countries. Children are given inferior teaching in failing schools and then they are over burdened with tests. The Liberal Democrats would like to change that.

The Liberal Democrats would replace national tests at seven and 14 which I think is a good idea. I don’t see the point in testing at 7 and 14. It doesn’t show anything but there is more reason to test pupils in their last year of primary school and secondary school. It shows how well the education is in both schools. In the last year of primary school they are about to take up a new challenge of secondary school while at the tests at secondary school decide their fate for the rest of their life.

The Swedes have also good ideas when it comes to education. I have covered that subject before but now the Swedes are going to adopt the IGCSE which is far more demanding that our own GCSE because it is internationally recognised and I believe we should do the same. Our country should be competing on the world stage and we need a better educated workforce to do this and the GCSE is increasingly seen as not worth the paper it is printed on.

Our schools minister doesn’t seem to like the IGCSE though. Jim Knight has said that "We do not agree that the IGCSE is in any way superior to the GCSE.” However as this government has an open door policy and is allowing anyone to come in and work the government should be allowing our workforce to compete on an international level like the Eastern Europeans are doing.

Conservative ups and downs

It’s been a rollercoaster ride for the conservatives these last few weeks. They have had some good ideas and they have also had their MEPs shown as corrupt and fleecing the taxpayer for everything they can.

They have finally had a good idea concerning education. They want to allow private companies to run schools in the way that Sweden does. The Swedish education system works so it is a fantastic policy which I have liked for a long time. It’s about time we adopted it in this country.

Unfortunately for the Conservatives they have been exposed as cheats swindling the taxpayer. More than half of their MEPs have refused to comply with rules requiring them to reveal how they spend our money. These people should not have a choice in the matter. They are supposed to work for our interests. We are the ones who pay them. We need transparency to stop sleazy politicians taking us for mugs.

What did they expect?

The flagship Scottish Government policy of cutting class sizes will require new classrooms and extra teachers, costing hundreds of millions of pounds.

The Association of Directors of Education in Scotland conducted a survey of Scotland's local authorities. It said councils were currently working out how to achieve class sizes of 18 pupils in primaries one to three.

The Scottish Government said its concordat with councils would deliver year-on-year reductions in class sizes.

The Association of Directors of Education in Scotland (ADES) survey, which gathered information from 22 of Scotland's 32 councils, found that an additional 2,173 teaching staff would be required, costing an extra £62m every year.

There would also need to be 900 additional classrooms, costing £360m, it said.

I like criticising the SNP but you can’t criticise them for this. It’s obvious to anyone with half a brain that this policy would require more teachers, more classrooms and more money. How else would it be achieved?

Stop criticising the SNP over this. They do a lot of crap and idiotic things but they can’t be criticised for something that was obvious to everyone.

A new record for immigration

IMMIGRANTS are being handed British passports at a rate of one every three minutes.

More than 164,000 were granted citizenship last year – a new record, and more than four times the number in the year Labour came to power.

Almost 1.2million foreigners have been told they can stay permanently since 1997, and now it is easier than ever to become British.

Is it any wonder that this country is falling apart? Schools in some parts of the country are forking out thousands just to pay for interpreters for children who do not speak English. Some police forces also have to spend money paying for interpreters to investigate crime by immigrants. It could mean that police are spending £76,300 a day on interpreters in one part of the country.

Start praying for good grades

One in five children leaves primary education without a proper grasp of the three Rs, the chief inspector of schools has warned.

Christine Gilbert unveiled a crackdown on under-performing schools as she delivered a stark warning that academic standards are "stalling".

She admitted her assessment clashed with ministers' who have boasted of steadily rising performance in schools.

She said it was "unacceptable" that 20 per cent of 11-year-olds lacked a basic mastery of English or maths - a failure toll that had barely improved during her tenure as chief inspector.

Standards are only going to get worse if the government go ahead with new proposals to fail schools if too many pupils are obese or bored with lessons.

Schools are already affected by red tape. Giving schools more targets to achieve will just mean that education will suffer and that is the last thing that should happen. Sometimes it seems politicians don’t have a brain but then again they probably don’t so it’s probably a good idea to get pupils to pray so they get good results. Only god can help them with this government.

Labour policy could backfire

Labour is going to try and force parents to have their child take the MMR jab and if they don’t their children will be banned from school.

Unfortunately for Labour they can’t do that because it is illegal. The European Human Rights Act (Click here – bottom page 8) gives people the right to an education so that stops Labour from doing that. If they tried it and a child was denied education the government would be sued and the decision would be reversed.

It wouldn’t exactly be a bad thing anyway. Education is being dumbed down so much that children can now get good grades for thinking positively and developing an ‘everyone can win’ attitude.

White children still being discriminated against

A Garston primary school is under fire for a scheme that offers additional learning support to black and mixed race pupils only.

Parents of youngsters attending Alban Wood Primary School say they are "disgusted" their children are being segregated by the colour of their skin.

Black and mixed race pupils received a letter last week explaining the school in The Brow had been allocated a budget to offer them extra classroom support.

This has been happening for many years. There are grants worth hundreds of millions of pounds that go to schools to help ethnic minority pupils and there are no such grants for white pupils because white children are treated as second class citizens.

White people are told not to be racist and yet they discriminate against us. They are the ones that hate white people so much that they disadvantage us at every opportunity they get and they expect us to stay silent over it.

Universities to offer basic grammar lessons

Universities should offer remedial lessons in grammar for students who cannot write properly, according to a leading academic.

Rick Trainor, the president of Universities UK, which represents vice-chancellors, said that universities should do more to ensure graduates are properly prepared for the world of work.

Employers have already criticised the standards of basic skills among teenagers, saying too many are leaving school with a poor grasp of the three Rs.

If we had a half decent education system to begin with universities wouldn’t need to do anything like this. Universities should be there for intelligent people and not people who can’t put a simple sentence together.

School made to apologise after disciplining boy

A school has been forced to write a letter of apology to an 11-year-old boy who was punished for being disruptive.

The boy was dropped from the football team, banned from going to a Royal Albert Hall concert and lost his lunchtime breaks.

His family complained that he was suffering from Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) and teachers should have taken that into account.

If the parents are so concerned why didn’t they take him to a special school so they could deal with pupils with ADHD? If there isn’t a special school to deal with those pupils one should be made because I don’t see why the education of other students should suffer just because the teachers are spending all their time dealing with this particular child.

SNP to discriminate against English students

Alex Salmond is showing that he is an anti English racist. He is going to stop tuition fees for Scottish students in Scottish universities. While the English won’t be getting anything, asylum seekers and immigrants from other EU countries will. The SNP also expect the Lib Dems to support this racist piece of legislation and they probably will.

If Salmond thinks that English students should be discriminated against while the rest of the world can just show up and be educated then I think it’s time for us to get our money back and tell the SNP that they can fund their education without English money.

Failing pupils to spend extra year at school

Children who fail maths and reading tests will be forced to spend an extra year at primary school under new Tory plans to be unveiled this week.

The reforms are designed to make sure no pupil starts secondary school without a basic grasp of the "Three Rs".

The Conservatives hope the move will improve school discipline by targeting children who cause the most classroom disruption.

I agree with this and I wouldn’t just include Maths and English. I would also include other subjects like Science. The government should set out minimum standards for children. If they fail to achieve these standards then they should be kept back a year. I would include teenagers with this too. If they fail to achieve minimum standards in their GCSEs they should be kept back for another year.

Conservatives and Swedish education?

It looks like the Conservatives are thinking of moving towards a type Swedish education system as they are considering letting parents set their own schools up. Local authorities will be allowed to block all moves towards independent schools in their area unless there is a lot of failing schools in the area.

I would rather they allow anyone to set up a school regardless of how other schools were doing in the area. The competition would only boost standards in all schools as the parents would send their children to the best schools and the worst schools would rapidly run out of pupils and would be forced to close.

Shock over 'violent GCSE essays'

Examiners have raised concerns over the "sickeningly violent" content in English GCSEs.

The latest examiners report on GCSE English from the Edexcel board found one of the most frequently used titles for creative writing course work was "The Assassin".

The report said the title "facilitated candidates to write in their own voice but within a very limiting framework, which allowed them to create and maintain a sometimes sickeningly violent atmosphere but provided few opportunities for character or plot development".

Ian McNeilly, from the National Association for the Teaching of English, said that teachers should be concerned when they come across examples of extremely violent writing.

Is this really as bad as it sounds or is violent writing a type of outlet for their violence like boxing is? Could this actually be reducing gang violence, doing nothing or increasing gang violence?

Shakespeare dumbed down in comic strips for bored pupils

Shakespeare's plays are being rewritten as comic strips for pupils who find his poetry boring, it emerged today.

Thousands of teenagers are to study cartoon versions of famous plays such as Macbeth which reduce finely-crafted passages to snappy phrases.

The publishers hope the comics - illustrated by artists who have worked on the Spiderman series - will inspire disaffected readers with a love of the Bard's plays.

This is just stupid. A third of 14 year olds fail to reach targets in key subjects and this is only going to make it worse. We dumb down the exams and now we are dumbing down the rest of the work. When will it end?

40% of children can't do basics

Four out of 10 children left primary school this summer without mastering the basics of reading, writing and maths, figures showed today.

Ministers hailed the latest national curriculum test results as the "best ever", after a one percentage point rise across English, maths and science.

But results in reading were no better than two years ago, while the proportion of children making the grade in writing showed no improvement since last year.

This is disgraceful especially when schools are cancelling subjects like PE, art, history and geography to concentrate on getting their pupils to pass. If they can’t get them to pass we should stop employing people as teachers who barely passed their own exams and stop giving teachers so much red tape.

Children failing because of bad teaching

Hundreds of teachers who barely passed their degrees are taking crucial school subjects, figures show.

Staff with the worst qualifications are most likely to teach traditional disciplines such as maths, science and modern languages.

Just 41.6 per cent of trainee maths teachers achieved a first or 2.1 in their university degrees, 43 per cent of language trainees and 48 per cent science.

This is obviously having a negative effect on the education of British children. This is shown by the fact that a fifth of primary school children are unable read, write or add up properly.

If we want an educated population we should be trying to get the best teachers for British children and not people that have almost failed at the very subjects that they are going to teach.

Schools told mix or fail

In May I blogged that schools will be labelled failing schools if they don’t promote race relations by twinning with multiethnic schools and striking up partnerships with Muslim schools. Well it seems that the newspapers are recycling the story because it’s in the Daily Mail.

There are a few differences in the stories though. Last time it said that they “should be twinned with ethnically mixed schools”. They have changed it to “Schools in rural or suburban areas will be urged to twin with multi-ethnic schools”. Read it? “Urged” seems like it will be voluntary but the fact that they are going to be closed down if they don’t shows that it’s just spin. They won’t be urged. They will be forced.
