Military need more aircraft

The armed forces could run out of
transport aircraft in two years, a report warns today.

Constant use in Afghanistan and Iraq is forcing the RAF to retire its ageing Hercules aircraft early, while the project to provide replacements has suffered years of delays.

There is a 'significant risk' that there will be too few planes to meet military needs after 2010, the National Audit Office report said.

What is this government doing? We hopefully won’t be fighting in Iraq or Afghanistan in 2 years but these aircraft are still badly needed in case some unforeseen conflict erupts which is increasingly likely to happen.

The government should be giving our troops whatever they need as Blair promised they would have before he left.

Emergency fund being used for Olympics

The Olympics is becoming very expensive now with all the waste and useless projects that the government has spent it on. The project is haemorrhaging so much money that ministers have now had to raid a £2.2bn emergency fund that was set aside for last minute work.

It’s hardly an emergency when there is still 4 years to go until the start of the Olympics. What happens when that fund is used up? Well they’ll probably just find more money to waste on it afterall it’s not their money they are wasting.

Boris caught lying

Boris Johnson promised a lot during the election campaign for London mayor and it not seems that he is already going to break atleast 2 of those promises.

During the campaign he said that he would work flat out if he was elected but two weeks into his term he has already went on holiday. He can’t have worked that hard.

Thanks to the BNP he has been exposed lying to pensioners. He promised all retired pensioners a 24 hour ‘travel freedom’ pass. When Richard Barnbrook asked about when he would actually give them the pass he put the date back to next year, probably hoping by then it would have been forgotten about so he wouldn’t actually have to give it out.

What fleet of vans?

The government has been caught lying yet again and it is over immigration yet again. Last September the government promised a fleet of vans to pick up illegal immigrants but they haven’t quite managed a fleet yet.

How many have they got? They have 1 van stationed in Dorset which isn’t even a place where lots of illegal immigrants go. Never fear though. The government have decided that they will increase the number of these vans to a grand total of 2 within a few months. That’s if they don’t forget about it.

Government lies about Northern Rock

The government lied to the flood victims and got away with it. The flood victims were told they would be helped to get back on their feet as quickly as possible. After that they were given £250 and a trip to the zoo.

The government have been caught lying again. This time they have lied about Northern Rock. Savers were told that up to £100,000 in their accounts would be guaranteed but now they have decided not even half that will be guaranteed. Up to £35,000 will be guaranteed. The government has a lot to answer for. If they had no intention of guaranteeing it why did they lie? If they intended to guarantee up to £100,000 it shows the sheer incompetence of government.

This isn’t a government you can trust your life savings with and it certainly isn’t a government you can trust with the prosperity of this country.

Brown caught lying about flood compensation

FURIOUS victims of the summer floods told last night how they had been fobbed off with just £250 in compensation – and a trip to a zoo “to cheer them up”.

Gordon Brown promised Government cash would get people “back on their feet as quickly as possible” just days after the devastation in June.

But many families, who have spent three months living in caravans, cheap hotels, or crammed into the upstairs rooms of their waterlogged homes, have been told they cannot have any cash.

These people have lost everything and now the government decides not to pay what they promised to the victims of the floods. This is a betrayal to the people of hull who have paid their taxes and now are being refused any help and being fobbed off with what is basically pocket money and a trip to the zoo.

Who is irrational?

If you are a drug dealing rapist this country goes easy on you. Despite being branded a danger to the public after raping two women, George Speight was released early from prison. After being released early he decided to put the life of rape behind him and go into the lucrative business of drug dealing. He was caught and has now been sentenced to 6 years in prison. He will probably serve 3 years even though he is a scumbag.

You and I probably think that drug dealing rapists are dangerous people who deserve to be deported especially if they are immigrants. Unfortunately our judges don’t think that way. Chan Wright, 35 is from Jamaica and is a convicted rapist and drug dealer. Judges decided it was irrational to brand him a high-risk reoffender and that his deportation should be reconsidered.

I think it was quite rational to deport him and he should have been deported after his first offence but the loonies are in control of the asylum so everything that normal people find rational is suddenly irrational.

The government have also said that they were going to deport all foreign criminals. This shows that they are full of lies.

Labour to deal with immigration the wrong way (2?)

Gordon Brown is set to announce tighter controls on would-be migrants coming to work in the
UK, in a move which could cut arrivals by 35,000 a year.

The Prime Minister will say that tens of thousands more migrant workers must pass English language tests before coming to the UK.

The controversial clampdown, to be unveiled in a speech to the TUC annual conference in Brighton on Monday, will affect skilled workers from outside the European Union, the Sunday Telegraph revealed.

Labour said something similar 11 months ago and nothing has been done. This is nothing but a lie. If they were serious they would have started months ago.

They are going about it all wrong anyway. EU immigrants are the main problem. If anything we should be putting limits on EU immigrants but we aren’t allowed to do that because the EU says so.

The Olympics are a disaster

We were lied to. I think you all know that we are lied to constantly so you probably want to know what I am talking about. I am talking about the Olympics. Tessa Jowell told us that the bill would be just over £2 billion but she knew it would be billions more but she didn’t want us to know.

Is it any wonder it has increased so much when we are paying people £400 per hour to attend planning meetings who are already rich and famous? Why exactly are we giving Princess Anne so much to sit on her arse and listen to what is being said?

Is it any wonder that the costs are spiralling out of control? If we had a competent government we could probably get the Olympics for far less than we are getting them and it would probably be within budget.

COWARDS!

Labour is filled with MPs that are nothing but cowards. According to The Sun a lot of MPs back a referendum on the European constitution but are not prepared to put their careers on the line by going public.

This means that these cowards put themselves before the welfare of this country. To them their careers come first! What a bunch of self serving political whores! These are the very people we do not want in Parliament. These politicians are far worse than the people we have in the cabinet and they are much worse than Gordon Brown. Is it too much to ask to put the welfare of your country ahead of your career?

No referendum says Brown

Gordon Brown is taking hits from all sides when it comes to the EU constitution in all but name. He is defying people in his own party who actually believe that the people of this country are the ones that matter. Unfortunately Gordon couldn’t care less what the people who elected him think. Hopefully the unions won’t just put pressure on him. Hopefully they will actually act by staging a general strike to force Gordon Brown to surrender to the will of the people. He won’t do it without being forced because he knows that we would tell the EU to piss off just like Texas did when the EU tried to stop the death penalty there.

Don’t get me wrong. Sometimes the EU has some good ideas like a European wide sex offender’s register. We wouldn’t need one if we could stop EU nationals from coming into this country. We don’t actually need anything from the EU because we can do everything ourself. Decentralisation is always the best option.

Government caught lying about amnesty plans

Last month there were calls for an amnesty of illegal immigrants by a think tank. The Home Office insisted there were no plans for an amnesty but it seems we were being misled.

There might not be an amnesty planned for illegal immigrants but there is for hundreds of thousands of failed asylum seekers.

Councils have been warned they must take over responsibility for the migrants, who will immediately be entitled to benefits and a place at the front of the housing queue. This will of course make our housing crisis worse making hard working families have to wait even longer for a house so that they can bring up their families.

Is it any wonder that people are leaving this country as fast as they can get a plane ticket?

Gordon Brown exposed as a liar

Just over 3 weeks ago Gordon Brown pledged to kick out 4,000 foreign criminals. I said that he was lying because the Human Rights Act would not let him. It appears I was correct. Learco Chindamo who is a murderer looks set to be allowed to stay in this country after he killed head teacher Philip Lawrence. Apparently deporting him would deprive him of his right to family life but he wasn’t thinking of the family life of Philip Lawrence when he stabbed him to death. Gordon Brown has been exposed as a liar and a fraud.

Learco Chindamo isn’t the only dangerous foreigner that won’t be deported on Human Rights grounds. Hani al-Sibai who is a failed asylum seeker and terror suspect cannot be deported back to Egypt because human rights laws state that we can’t send him back to a country where he could be executed or tortured.

If you want this country to be safe, if you want convicted foreign criminals and terrorists to be deported then you should never trust Labour. They cannot be trusted with the safety of this country. They cannot be trusted to use common sense either.

Asylum seekers paid to go home then come back

HUNDREDS of failed asylum-seekers who were paid to leave
Britain have sneaked back—with many now demanding the handout AGAIN.

Almost 400 of the 5,000 refugees booted out last year with business grants of up to £3,500 in their pockets are known to have returned.

Two-thirds have now been told they can STAY. But the rest want a SECOND handout at British taxpayers' expense.

We were told this was happening in March but nothing has been done. At that time there were about 300 that came back. The government could have done something about that other 100 when they were informed by the newspapers but they haven’t done anything.

Britain almost out of troops

The head of the Army has issued a dire warning that Britain has almost run out of troops to defend the country or fight abroad, a secret document obtained by the Daily Telegraph has revealed.

Gen Sir Richard Dannatt has told senior commanders that reinforcements for emergencies or for operations in Iraq or Afghanistan are "now almost non-existent".

In the memorandum to fellow defence leaders, the Chief of the General Staff (CGS) confessed that "we now have almost no capability to react to the unexpected". The "undermanned" Army now has all its units committed to either training for war in Iraq and Afghanistan, on leave or on operations.

There is just one battalion of 500 troops, called the Spearhead Lead Element, available to be used in an emergency, such as a major domestic terrorist attack or a rapid deployment overseas.

After knowing this I wonder which bright spark decided that we should be sending an extra 100 troops to fight in Afghanistan. It would also be a good idea to fix those aircraft seeing as half of the RAF fleet is out of action. I wouldn’t bet on the government doing anything though. They haven’t yet even though they have promised things in the past.

More troops go to Afghanistan

Yesterday the Ministry of Defence said that troop levels in Afghanistan will increase by 100 by the end of the year and will be boosted by a troop of Viking armoured vehicles.

There is still no sign of the transport aircraft or the helicopters that are needed. You would think that if you increase the number of soldiers there would also be an increase in aircraft to help them complete the job or just to help them get in and out of war zones. The government don’t see it that way though and they have probably forgot that Blair promised the troops whatever they need to complete the job.
