Another stupid EU directive

The European Union seems to be poking their noses in a lot of places where they are not wanted lately. According to Directive 2001/84/EC from the EU every time a piece of art is sold the artist must get a royalty. Why is this law? You don’t see this happening in other industries. Why aren’t builders given a royalty every time a house is sold? Why aren’t car manufacturers given a royalty every time someone buys their car from an individual? I could go on forever naming other industries but I won’t. I think you understand that this is stupid.

You would think with these stupid ideas our government would want to hand over less power. Not so I am afraid. Our foreign secretary David Milliband wants our army to be part of an EU army. We already know that he is a traitor but this goes far beyond treason. He doesn’t want our country to control our own military. He wants it to be controlled by a foreign government. Can we call ourselves independent when that happens?

The government and their priorities

It seems that stopping people smoking is more important in the government’s list of priorities than reducing assaults.

Despite a Government poll showing community safety was voters' overwhelming priority, anti-crime initiatives will not be the main focus of authorities.

While reducing "serious acquisitive crime" such as thefts from cars was sixth, cutting the rate of "assault with injury" was 13th and domestic violence 20th.

Considered a higher priority than both by most councils were stopping smoking. Isn’t it wonderful to see the government getting their priorities in order?

Terrorists allowed to stay

Sometimes our judges should be shot for the stupid decision which they make. Abu Qatada won’t be deported to Jordan where he is wanted on terror charges. He should be deported. It is irrelevant what that country’s criminal justice system is like. At the very least he should be rotting in prison for encouraging terrorism against people who don’t believe in Islam.

Another terrorist will also soon be released even though at one stage he was one of our most wanted terrorists. What exactly is the government doing allowing these scum to live in the country they hate?

It isn’t all bad news. Abu Hamza is finally going to be deported to America where he will face trial and hopefully the rest of his life in prison.

Prisoners to be rewareded for going on the run

Prisoners who go on the run could have the time cut from their sentence, internal Government papers revealed last night.

Convicts will be able to count both the day they absconded and the day they were caught as time spent behind bars.

This is the most stupid idea I have ever heard. It is basically rewarding criminals for getting away with their crimes. It will just encourage more criminals to go on the run as all they will have to do is complete the rest of their sentence. It’s madness.

Another hospital bans flowers

Banning flowers in Dorset County Hospital must have been a success because now other hospitals are trying it.

This time South End hospital has decided to ban flowers for health and safety reasons for a trial period of one month starting July 7th. The ban is being introduced because the hospital believes flowers could pose a safety hazard with all the hi-tech medical equipment around beds.

Could this idiocy be coming to a hospital near you? It wouldn’t surprise me.

Immigrants and crime

There is something seriously wrong with how we treat immigrant criminals. A prison to deal with foreign criminals released prisoners without proper preparation because it wrongly assumed they would be deported. If I was the prison governor I would have assumed the exact same thing.

They should have automatically been deported the first time they stepped foot outside prison but idiots in government don’t seem to think that way. Idiot judges are something else to watch out for because while they are idiots they make decisions which are dangerous. Judge Julian Hall ruled that an illegal immigrant who abused a young girl for three years was not dangerous and should be free to stay in the UK after going to prison for more than 5 years.

Why is this idiot allowed to be a judge? He is doing more harm than good. He should be removed as a judge immediately and Nurul Islam should be automatically deported when released.

Let him die

Ian Huntley is receiving extraordinary preferential treatment in prison to 'keep his spirits up'.

The killer of Holly Wells and Jessica Chapman has tried three times to kill himself and the authorities are keen to avoid another attempt.

Officers guarding him have been told by governor David Thompson to treat Huntley - and fellow inmates - as 'extensions of their family' and use their first names or address them as 'Mr'.

In addition, 33-year-old Huntley was given a series of privileges within weeks of arriving at Frankland Prison in County Durham - privileges which others would take months of good behaviour to earn.

Why should this evil man get anything at all? He shouldn’t even be given soap. If he wants to kill himself they should let him. Prisons are full and they need the space. He would be doing everyone a favour if he killed himself.

Paddling pool banned again

For nearly a quarter of a century, Lourdes Maxwell has celebrated the arrival of summer by putting a paddling pool in the garden.

This year, however, her two grandchildren and the children of her neighbours may have to find another way to cool off in the heat.

Miss Maxwell's local council has decided that the pool - which is only 2ft deep - needs a lifeguard.

The 47-year-old divorced mother of three has also been told she must have insurance before she can inflate the toy outside her house in Portsmouth.

This is just ridiculous. It’s a paddling pool for gods sake! Why can’t councils just let adults take responsibility for their children? Of course this is not the first time this has happened. I blogged about this happening to Katie Joyce almost 3 years ago.

Nothing has changed. Health and safety bureaucrats only do this because they can’t get real jobs and it doesn’t look like national or local government will take action to stop it because they have had 3 years to stop it.

Military compensation

In this country hurt feelings and soar thumbs are much worse than losing your legs or that’s how it would seem when the soldier who has his legs blown off receives less money than if he had his feeling hurt or a soar thumb.

Ben Parkinson volunteered to serve his country on the Afghan front line - and paid a terrible price.

The young paratrooper suffered a total of 37 terrible injuries when he was blown up by a landmine.

He lost both his legs and sustained grievous damage to his spine, skull, pelvis, hands, spleen and ribcage, leaving him in a coma for months.

For his troubles he received £152,150 in compensation while a ministry of defence typist received £484,000 for a soar thumb. A transsexual paratrooper received £250,000 after some soldiers hurt its feelings after calling it names…

By the time you reach secondary school you should be able handle being called names. It’s about time these people grow up.

Where should the money have went?

A few days ago I mentioned the shocking story of Audrey Kelly and Helen Morgan Audrey Kelly and Helen Morgan who are both in their 80s and both have to pay for their own healthcare because of NHS cutbacks.

Today I have found out where the money went. £15 million went on a useless NHS survey where only 0.2% of people actually answered. That money could have been spent on making the lives Audrey Kelly and Helen Morgan much more enjoyable and not letting them live in agony because of NHS penny pinching and stupidity.

Plane hijacker given job at airport

What do you get when you hijack a plane and hold the passengers hostage for 4 days and threatening to kill them?

Well if you do it in this country and your name is Nazamuddin Mohammid, you get to live in this country and receive £150,000 per year including living in West London rent-free at a private house. Even if you assault your landlord you will not be deported, you won’t even be sent to prison but you will still be allowed computers, video recorders and hi-fi systems and you will also be sent on a computer course free of charge!

After all that you will then be given a job in an airport!

Diversity training is useless

It’s official. Police diversity training is useless but atleast the experts have began to realise that. Dr John Coxhead, who worked for ten years as a liaison officer with gipsies and travellers thinks that forces should stop putting so much effort into training courses and return to "common sense," I couldn’t agree more but unfortunately the people in charge at the top don’t have common sense.

Showing their lack of common sense Devon and Cornwall Constabulary have decreed that their officers are no longer allowed to rescue drowning swimmers or even hold their hands out. They also must carry out a dynamic risk assessment before throwing a life belt.

PCSOs are also useless when faced with slightly determined criminals. They are not allowed to tackle violent yobs, respond to any serious incident and issue fines which makes them more useless than traffic wardens.

Topsy turvy law

A boy of 14 who shot a schoolgirl in the face with an air rifle has escaped punishment because prosecutors claim he was too young to know what he was doing.

Lorna De-Ste-Croix, 15, was yesterday still at home recovering from surgery after the unprovoked attack in June, which left a lead pellet embedded behind her right eye and nearly blinded her.

Yet the Crown Prosecution Service has told Lorna's family, of West End, near Southampton, that no action will be taken against the boy who fired the rifle.

It says he was too young to appreciate the dangers of his firing the rifle from 6ft away - even though he was four years above the minimum age of criminal responsibility in England.

A 14 year old didn’t know the consequences of his actions? What world is that prosecutor on? If a 14 year old didn’t know the consequences of his actions why then did the police fine a girl of 10 for writing on a neighbour’s wall in crayon? Surely if he never knew the consequences the little girl also didn’t?

Illegal immigrants on the run

Last month I blogged that police told two illegal immigrants to make their own way to the immigration detention centre. Unsurprisingly they never made it even though they were given a map.

A few days ago I blogged about telling a group of Iraqi asylum seekers Northants police to make their own way to the immigration detention centre. Unsurprisingly they never made it to the immigration detention centre either. The bright sparks at Northants police probably think they got lost somewhere because they did the same thing a few days later. This time a group of 5 African immigrants were driven to the train station and told to make their own way to the detention centre. They never made it.

Did these African immigrants have money? If not why were they driven to the train station when they couldn’t afford a ticket? Did the police give them money?

Asylum seekers on the run

A group of Iraqi asylum seekers held by police in Northants were told to make their own way to an immigration centre in Croydon, it has been revealed.

Immigration officials told police to release the people who were held after being found at a lay-by on the A45 near Flore, Northants, last Wednesday.

This is not the first time this has happened. I blogged about it happening to two illegal immigrants last month. The illegal immigrants were given a map to find their way to the detention centre while this group of asylum seekers weren’t.

You would have thought that the immigration police would have learnt that it is a bad idea to tell them to make their own way to the detention centres so we can more easily deport them. Unfortunately government departments don’t have much sense.

No smoking? What does that mean?

The smoking ban has again ended up causing stupid things to happen. There are several hundred used London Underground “No Smoking” signs for sale in an Islington antiques shop. A notice next to them explained that every sign on the Tube has had to be changed as the old ones no longer comply with the new law.

Transport for London confirms that the old signs had to be taken down. They now have to say: “It Is Against The Law To Smoke In This Station.” Apparently “No Smoking” just doesn’t do the job anymore.

Red Arrows banned from Olympics

THE Red Arrows have been banned from performing at the 2012 London Olympics as they are too BRITISH.

Barmy organisers claim the popular RAF display team’s military background “might offend other nations”.

The decision has left pilots, who were set to perform their best-ever display at the opening ceremony, in a state of outrage.

Seeing as we are hosting the Olympics we should be showing the best bits of Britain and banning the red arrows is just a stupid idea that should have never have been given the time of day but our barmy officials hate everything that is British.

Conservatives will be unelectable

Are the Conservatives trying to lose the next election? They have come up with the most half baked environmental policies. Do they really think we are so stupid that we will vote for these idiots? Under their proposals families would be forced to turn their houses green before being given permission to carry out loft conversions or conservatory extensions.

The government have yet to nationalise homes so the government should have no right telling us when we can renovate our home. Until they nationalise our homes they should shut up especially if they want to be elected.

Another policy that they are thinking about is turning street lights off at night. What are street lights for? Are they supposed to be left on during the day? If they aren’t left on during the night why would we need them? Has he given any thought to what it would cost local councils to achieve this?

With these policies the Conservatives will be unelectable and we will have even longer of the nation wrecking policies of Labour.

Don't hurt their feelings

Convicted criminals working in the community are to be barred from wearing fluorescent jackets because their feelings might be hurt if passers-by hurl abuse, it emerged last night.

Government officials are worried about the health and safety of burglars and thugs if they can be identified as they carry out their punishments.

In a spectacular U-turn, probation staff have been told to stop putting up signs saying street work is being carried out by convicts - or forcing them to wear bright yellow jackets branded 'Community Payback'.

Instead, a small plaque will be erected long after the yobs have gone, to make sure their delicate sensibilities are not put at risk. The decision makes a mockery of repeated Labour promises to make 'tough' community sentences - such as tidying parks and fixing benches - more visible so that the public can see justice being done.

Last year England's most senior judge, Lord Chief Justice Phillips, secretly passed himself off as a convicted drink driver and donned one of the jackets to see what community punishments were like.

And a modified version of the yellow jacket he wore may have a reprieve.

In a classic example of Whitehall confusion, some criminals working in the open air will still wear them - albeit without any logo to suggest they are convicts.

Why? Because the high-visibility jackets could help prevent accidents - as required under health and safety rules.

This country must be the laughing stock of the criminal world. When did criminals ever care about the feelings of their victims? They should be visible to the communities they wreck to humiliate them into stopping their criminal ways but under Labour it won’t stop them. Labour are easy on criminals when they have said that they would be tough on crime and tough on the causes of crime. I would like to know when we will actually see them being tough.

Does she look like a yob?

In her pink cardigan and standing a mere 3ft6in, four year old Karen Lewis hardly looks a menace to society.

But that didn't stop staff at a seaside amusement arcade reducing the little girl to tears by warning her she was flouting company rules on hooded tops.

A worker explained to Karen's mother, Cheryl, that it was company policy to insist customers pulled down their hoods, in case yobs used them to conceal their identity while causing trouble.

Do those workers really think that 4 year old girl is a yob? It’s probably just one of those things where they approached her because she was an easy target. These types of people are always doing that and wouldn’t complain about people actually looking like yobs and why would they? Who wants to get a load of lip from snot nosed teenagers who then go on a vandalism spree?
