EU rules mean 400 Britons go without liver

Thanks to EU rules European Union citizens can come to this country and get healthcare. While 400 britons could have a new liver now they don’t. Instead Greek and Cypriot patients have them.

If you are on the waiting for a liver and you are probably going to wait years you know who to blame. If you want to get treated as soon as possible you should dump Labour and the EU.

Could this lead to NHS privatisation?

New rights for patients to shop around Europe for the best healthcare are part of a new "Social Agenda" launched in Brussels.

If approved by EU governments, the controversial move would guarantee that costs are covered by the patient's own national health scheme back home.

The plan follows years of legal cases in which European court judges have ruled that freedom to cross EU borders for the best or quickest treatment should be a right for all.

But the measure would have safeguards - costs would be reimbursed in line with similar costs which would be incurred if the treatment was carried out at home, and repayment would only apply to those having healthcare insurance in their own country.

This sounds good but it is not. I think Britain is the only country in Europe with free healthcare and this could be jeopardised by this ‘new right’. The NHS has a limited amount of money. They are not a bottomless money pot. If people can go abroad it will mean that the NHS has to spend even more money whereas now they have a waiting list where they perform operations and treatment when they can afford to.

If this was to happen often the government would say the NHS has gone bankrupt or is close to it and they will tell us that they have no other option but to privatise it. In reality they know this but they want to try and make money off us as fast as they can.

Labour no longer trusted

Labour is no longer the party trusted to bring in the health reforms that are needed to safeguard the NHS for future generations, a poll for The Daily Telegraph shows.

Barely one in five people believe the Labour party will deliver a better health service over the next ten years, the You Gov poll shows.

Why would anyone trust Labour anymore when their much publicised deep clean has been exposed as a sham and political stunt? A lot of hospitals were found not to be using chemicals that were needed to be effective in the fight against superbugs. Almost a fifth of hospitals admitted using steam clean even though it has been proven to be ineffective.

The Labour party are useless and should not be trusted with something as important as the NHS. They have shown themselves to be incompetent in all areas of life.

The NHS: Letting people die

Our health service is a disgrace. Those who need NHS help are left to die and are punished if they decide they want to contribute to the cost of their own care.

Albert Baxter, 77, was terminally ill. But he was turned down for a drug which could have prolonged his life and shrunk his tumour.

In desperation, he offered to pay for the treatment. But he was told if he did so, he would also have to foot the bill for the rest of his treatment, which he could not afford.

Mr Baxter must have lost all hope of living a comfortable life so he killed himself because of bastards in the NHS who would rather see him die than live.

Mr Baxter isn’t the only one being denied treatment. Tul Bahadur Pun is a Gurkha who was awarded the Victoria Cross for his bravery in fighting for our country but he was denied the medical care that he needed for a heart condition. The person who denied him treatment should be kissing his feet and giving him the care that he needs and not treating the poor man like something on the bottom of his shoe.

The NHS is a disgrace.

Care home residents left neglected

We all know that public sector organisations treatb the elderly badly and it seems that it is just getting worse and not better. Those that can’t care for themselves are being made to pay while services to them are being cut.

Those in care homes are being left unfed and neglected by care homes who couldn’t care less about them.
Care home inspectors found that half of all care homes are failing to properly look after residents with dementia.
They found homes where residents were barred from moving about, where they went hungry because no one bothered to help them eat and where they were left to stare at a television all day long.
Those who aren’t lucky enough to get into a care home have to actually pay for care even though many elderly people rely on their pension as their only source of income. They are having to choose between home care and food which has just increased in price, that’s not to mention energy costs.

The cost of just living for the elderly has risen so substantially that is it very believable that more pensioners are in poverty. They have to shell out more in council tax, food energy and now they have to pay more for much needed care. With a fixed income it is no wonder that they are living in poverty.
NHS committing murder

The NHS is committing murder by refusing to give people treatment because they dare to pay for drugs to prolong their life that the NHS refuses to pay for.

Linda O’Boyle died after being denied treatment for paying for private drugs that are not available on the NHS. As far as I am concerned this is murder. Why is it wrong to want to live longer? NHS drugs were not working but the private drugs did work and she was advised by doctors about the drug. I hope whoever denied her treatment gets a baseball bat around the head, or better yet get the same cancer that Linda O’Boyle had.

Richard Eckley is in the same boat and he is probably going to have to go into debt just to continue to live and if he can’t afford it anymore he could die all because the NHS wouldn’t pay for his drugs to battle kidney cancer.

Surely if Mr Eckley isn’t getting the treatment on the NHS which he paid for through taxes then shouldn’t he get those taxes back seeing as they are not being put to use helping him to stay alive?

Where should the money have went?

A few days ago I mentioned the shocking story of Audrey Kelly and Helen Morgan Audrey Kelly and Helen Morgan who are both in their 80s and both have to pay for their own healthcare because of NHS cutbacks.

Today I have found out where the money went. £15 million went on a useless NHS survey where only 0.2% of people actually answered. That money could have been spent on making the lives Audrey Kelly and Helen Morgan much more enjoyable and not letting them live in agony because of NHS penny pinching and stupidity.

Doctors can't get a job

Every British medical graduate should be guaranteed a training place in hospital after thousands were squeezed out by overseas applicants this year, a damning inquiry into the junior doctors fiasco has said.

The report into the Government's botched handling of doctors' training found a series of blunders meant 33,000 junior medics were chasing just 22,000 training posts earlier this year.

Report author Professor Sir John Tooke said the problem occurred because ministers had failed to anticipate that more than 10,000 doctors would apply from overseas, thus 'flooding' the market.

Ministers have now promised to consider his recommendation that British medical graduates should be guaranteed their first year of training, with overseas doctors only able to apply later on.

I thought immigrants were only doing the jobs that British people don’t want to do? Surely this story busts this myth as being a bare faced lie?

This country has spent hundreds of thousands of pounds per doctor training them and now it has been shown to be a total waste of money as we are taking foreign doctors which are probably needed in their own country far more than they are here after all we do have an over supply while less developed countries need far more doctors than they have.

If we can’t get rid of the immigrant doctors maybe we can get rid of the Muslim medical students who refuse to learn about sexual diseases, alcohol or women.

Immigrants taking jobs of doctors

Hundreds of medical graduates are unemployed because too many posts go to doctors from overseas, it is claimed today.

Professor Graham Winyard blames the Government's "muddled approach to managing medical immigration".

Writing in the British Medical Journal, Professor Winyard said: "This has created a large surplus of applicants over available training places, making disappointment for thousands inevitable."

People like me have been saying this has been happening for years but we have been ignored and now we have been shown to be right. The fact is we don’t need foreign doctors. We are able to train our own and it is wrong to rob the third world of much needed doctors.

Junior doctor crisis could continue for years

The junior doctors recruitment crisis will be even worse next year, a Government document disclosed yesterday.

Competition for training posts will be tighter with three applicants expected for every job.

This year, which will see 10,000 doctors without a training job by next month, there were two applicants for every post. Only a third of applicants even got an interview, the document said.

I would have thought that the government would have learnt something from this but they haven’t. They are continuing with a system that is an utter shambles. Are they trying to completely destroy the NHS or are they just totally incompetent? It’s hard to tell which.

If the government had any sense they would go back to the old system which worked far better than the system that they are using now. Then again you can’t accuse Labour of having any sense.

Charge drunks for treatment says Lib Dems

Patients needing emergency NHS treatment after becoming drunk or incapacitated by drugs would be charged under proposals yesterday from Norman Lamb, the Liberal Democrat health spokesman.

The plan is one of a series of policy shifts in a strategy paper he published before the party's annual conference in Brighton next week. Mr Lamb said: "If you get rat-arsed on a Friday night and get taken to A&E where you are foul and abusive to staff, is it right for the taxpayers to fund your life-saving treatment?"

I agree with this policy. If you are responsible for your ill health then you should be the one to pay for your own treatment. Tax payers should not have to fund your lifestyle.

I think this is the only decent policy that the Lib Dems have ever come up with. I think it will be the last too.

Doctors: Stop smoking or we will leave you in agony

A builder who broke his ankle in three places has been refused an operation by doctors - because he smokes.

Gutted John Nuttall, 57, fractured his joint while at work but medics have told him he cannot undergo surgery.

They say unless he gives up his 20-a-day habit he will not be eligible for an operation

Why should he have to stop smoking when smoking isn’t the problem? If smoking was the problem I would support it but it isn’t. He should sue the health service for persecuting him.

Smoking is not illegal and as long as it isn’t he should be given the same treatment as anyone else. Smoking never caused his broken ankle so why should he be punished for smoking?

Immigrants sent to the front of the queue

IMMIGRANTS who
can't speak English are being sent to the FRONT of NHS out-patient queues...while locals are left waiting in clinics for hours.

Patients who need interpreters are being given priority by hospital trusts—because bosses reckon it's cheaper than having costly translators hanging about.

The bosses are right. It probably is cheaper however that is no justification for giving them treatment before Brits. Unless it is essential immigrants should be refused any treatment unless they have the money to pay. I don’t see why those who have paid taxes all their lives should be sent to the back of the queue just so someone who hasn’t paid anything can get treated for something they can get treated for in their own country.

Immigrants could swamp NHS

The Health Service could be "overwhelmed" by cancer sufferers from
Eastern Europe, a leading doctor has warned.

There are almost twice as many smokers in Poland and neighbouring countries than the UK, which means they have far higher rates of lung and other cancers.

It comes as a new documents showed the bill for treating health 'tourists' amounts to at least £62 million a year.

This is totally unfair. When Brits are taken ill in Poland they are deported because the Polish government refuses to take care of them.

While we are spending millions of pounds on making their citizens better they are only willing to pay for a one way ticket to this country. We are getting a bad deal being in the EU.

NHS with £1bn surplus

The Government has been urged to halt hospital closures and cutbacks after it emerged that the NHS is on course for a £1bn surplus this year.

If this is the case why does Labour want to close hospitals and cut services which have been shown will cost lives? Why do some hospitals have to send organs for transplant by coach and not ambulance?

If we have a surplus why do we have an inferior health service to that of Scotland? Surely now NICE should allow a medicine that will save 10,000 from going blind and allow an anti dementia drug which will improve peoples quality of life.

Gordon Brown: silencing opposition

Gordon Brown enjoys silencing any opposition to what he does. First he silenced the postal workers over post office closures by bribing and blackmailing all employees. Gordon Brown then silenced the military over appalling treatment that they receive.

Yesterday I blogged that the government is going to abduct a child and stop the media reporting what is happening.

Today they are trying to silence the junior doctors and the dissidents in the Labour party who want to have a debate.

When it comes to the junior doctors the government is threatening them with disciplinary action if they take better jobs than they were offered at first. When they don’t take the better offers the government will probably say that all doctors got the positions they wanted. We know different though.

Meanwhile in the Labour party the membership are going to be stripped of their right to put forward emergency motions to the party conference so that the party don’t have to debate any of the damaging policies that Labour have inflicted upon this country.

NHS sends organs on coaches

SKINT NHS bosses are using National Express coaches to
transport organs for transplants.

And The Sun can reveal it meant an EYE went missing on its way to hospital.

It was sent in a box on a coach and disappeared on the way to Northampton General.

Hospitals should use private ambulances to carry the organs. But many have axed the contracts to save money.

Delivery firm TNT was due to collect the eye — for a cornea transplant — from Northampton bus station where it had been taken by coach.

But the National Express office, where sensitive parcels were held, was shut.

The eye was finally tracked down and used in an op the next day.

Labour can’t seem to do anything right. Sooner or later an organ will go missing and someone will die. It’s about time Labour actually did their work properly and gave the NHS more money and kept out of the decision making.

He survived the war but the NHS killed him

He survived Dunkirk, World War 2 and our dangerous streets as a police officer but it was our hospitals that finally killed him. Former Coldstream Guard Joseph Nixon, 87, survived the battlefields of France and Belgium.

But after a bowel operation he caught pneumonia and superbug clostridium difficile and died at Maidstone Hospital in Kent at the end of last month.

Mr Nixon, who was also a Met Police officer after the war and a "tireless" campaigner for alcoholic support groups for prisoners, was appalled at how overworked nurses were and the dirty conditions at the hospital.

This is the NHS today. We get third rate care for our war heroes. Would they have fought and died for the country we have today if they knew what it was going to be like?

Junior doctors could be jobless

More than 10,000 trainee doctors could find themselves without posts within weeks as medical campaigners warn of a new junior doctors crisis.

The deadline to fill 22,000 NHS training posts was extended until Oct 31, but with 33,000 applicants, there are renewed warnings that thousands could lose out.

Junior doctors who do not get a post under the Medical Training Application Service face taking non-training jobs, emigrating or leaving the NHS.

Ministers have created 1,000 extra training posts that will be allocated after Oct 31 to unsuccessful candidates who are especially qualified.

But critics have said that many doctors who have already been assigned training posts have found their salaries have been cut or that they are overqualified.

While on this is going on it looks like there will be a lot of broken promises as hospitals are trying renege on the government’s promise that junior doctors would not be left out of work in order to save money. It looks like Patricia Hewitt was wrong when she said that they wouldn’t be disadvantaged because they will and the country will be disadvantaged as a result of junior doctors heading abroad.

If the NHS really wants to save money they could start by saving £4 million by paying for their own taxi fairs, first class train tickets and aeroplane travel. The £4 million wouldn’t help a lot but it would be a start.

More multicultural propoganda

The multicultists seem to be forcing multiculturalism down our throats more lately. It is of course mostly in an attempt to appease the Muslims before they start anything but it isn’t just about the Muslims. Oxo has got in on it and decided that they are going to bring back the Oxo family advert for the 21st century meaning the family will be a multicultural one. Oh goody. I can’t wait…

Now, back to the good old Muslims. Hospital staff in Scotland have been told to eat away from their desks to avoid offending Muslims during Ramadan.

ITV has decided to appease the Muslims too, with a documentary about Jesus not actually being the son of God but being a prophet of Allah. I don’t think ITV would dare create a documentary claiming Muhammed was not the last prophet but there ya go. Multiculturalism and Islam in particular is being forced down the throats of people who are sick of it but this will continue for a long time.
