Reward this woman

Normally I get sick and tired of all sorts of women and assorted ethnic minorities grumbling over perceived discrimination that they receive but this story made me think otherwise.

Rabia Siddique helped a male officer rescue two SAS men from an Iraqi mob.

He got an MC. She got a hug and when she complained she got a worse job than she had. As far as I am concerned her complaint was legitimate and she should have been rewarded for her bravery not treated like a child.

She should have been treated like any other brave soldier who risked their lives to save soldiers in danger from angry mobs with guns but she was treated like she didn’t even matter. This woman is a soldier and a good one at that.

Gordon lies to troops

GORDON Brown reacted to the Army chief’s plea for a troops pay rise yesterday – but failed to promise cash.

The Prime Minister said soldiers’ efforts would be “recognised” and “rewarded”.

He was speaking after General Sir Richard Dannatt told The Sun troops were getting a poor deal on pay.

Gen Dannatt compared the pay of junior service personnel with traffic wardens and said he would like to see above-inflation rises.

Mr Brown said: “I recognise the huge contribution our Armed Forces make and we will continue to try to reward them for the dedication and commitment they show, often in very difficult theatres of war.

You will continue to try to reward them? You mean you have been trying? I would hate to see you not trying to reward them. I don’t think you have rewarded them once even though they are fighting two wars and have to make budget cuts at the same time.

If you are rewarding them why have you given them a part time cabinet minister who recently justified their low wages labelling them unemployable in real life. That’s hardly rewarding them. Infact it’s insulting them.

British motorists to pay more

British motorists pay billions a year in taxes that affect only them but they get very little for their money. British motorists pay £44 billion per year but the government won’t stump up a fraction of that to pay for £200 million per year repair bill to fix roads full of potholes even though our crumbling roads cost us nearly £3billion a year in car repairs.

Even though we already give the government tens of billions of pounds to spend the government now wants more money by making us pay a congestion charge to enter our own cities. If we want a job we will now have to pay just to get to and from work. The wealthier members of society won’t care. It will be the lower paid who lose out yet again.

The government know that people don’t like being taxed so much especially when they receive so little in return which is why they don’t want people organising opposition to sky high fuel taxes. The Daily Express tried just to put a petition on the government petitions website asking for fuel tax to be lowered but it was refused, such is the government’s hatred of any opposition.

EU wont take no for an answer

Irish voters seized a chance denied to the British people last night and delivered a decisive 'No' to a European superstate.

Gordon Brown was left with a massive political headache after a shock result in the Ireland referendum on the Lisbon Treaty plunged the European Union into turmoil.

Today, Conor Lenihan, Ireland's Minister of State with responsibility for integration, said while he could not rule out another poll it was 'unlikely' the country would hold another referendum on the treaty. A second vote could inflict even more damage on the EU reform proposals, he added.

The EU will still get by the will of the people regardless of what people want. You see people don’t matter as long as they vote the wrong way. Before Ireland even voted no the europhiles already had a plan to get the treaty through.

By late 2009 or early 2010, when Croatia joins the EU, an amending "Accession Treaty" will be signed by all members including Dublin.

Ireland, like the rest of the Europe, does not hold referendums on EU enlargement treaties and with new protocol opt-outs Dublin may get a new Accession Treaty past the Irish parliament without a popular vote.

The EU treaty is not dead. It will just take 1-2 more years to get it through. The Irish voters this time won’t be given a choice incase they vote no just like with the votes in Holland and France.
We don't want the EU

The Irish have destroyed the Lisbon treaty that would have given each country less of a say in the running of their own country however the Europhiles just won’t take no for an answer. David Milliband still thinks it should be ratified despite its rejection by Irish voters.

We won’t get a referendum even though the majority of British people don’t want to be in a political union. Only a third of people think we should stay in the European Union while the rest want to either leave or renegotiate the EU back into a trade only union.

Our MPs won’t listen of course because our opinions don’t matter. They think that they are the elite and that they should be the ones to decide what happens. We should have no say. It’s time that these people were told that we won’t take it anymore and that they should pack their bags and go abroad where they might be wanted.
Young rapists get community sentences

THOUSANDS of young thugs convicted of sex offences and violence get off with community sentences, shock figures reveal.

Less than half are locked up, despite the seriousness of their crimes.
The revelations will fuel fears teenage louts get off lightly.

A total of 860 young offenders were sentenced for sex attacks in 2006, but 474 – 55 per cent – were given community sentences.

A further 15,016 under18s were found guilty of violent offences, but 8,372, or 56 per cent, got off with a community sentence.

When will the government actually start being tough on crime? These people should be in prison. It doesn’t matter if they are young. Community punishments are still just a slap on the wrist.

There are far too many children that are let off to easily and we are supposed to believe that thousands of children are needlessly criminalised. If anything there aren’t enough children that are criminalised. They should be punished harshly.
Stabbings soar but do MPs care?

SERIOUS stabbings have soared by more than half under Labour, the Daily Express can reveal.

Almost 6,000 victims were treated in hospital last year for stab or slash wounds compared with around 3,800 in 1998.

The number of women being attacked has increased by a third while figures for children under 14 being hurt have almost doubled.

It means the equivalent of 16 people every day are being so seriously wounded they need hospital care – often having to stay on a ward for two days.

You would think with knife crime being such a growing and serious crime MPs would be really concerned about it, especially those MPs who live in London but unfortunately only 10 of the 74 London MPs bothered to turn up to a knife crime debate. There even less MPs from other parts of the country.
Government win 42 day detention

There are advantages and disadvantages of the government winning the 42 day detention vote. The disadvantage is that they can keep you without charge for 42 days. No government should be allowed to do that. If the suspects are guilty they should be charged. If there is a lot of evidence to sift through then the government should provide whatever manpower is needed.

If you were innocent you would want compensation if they kept you for this long which is why I am happy to see that the government have promised to give £3000 compensation per day to anyone not charged after 28 days.

If the government were actually serious about dealing with terrorism they would pour more resources into dealing with terrorism and not lock you up for 42 days without charge. They would also stop leaving sensitive information lying around on trains. Such incompetence should not be tolerated and anyone doing so should be sacked.
Government spend more on Islamists than the English

What is more important to this country? Is it Islamic fundamentalists who want to see more people in this country killed or the indigenous English people? If Labour wasn’t the government we would be saying English people but sadly the Labour party are in charge.

AN Islamic website which backs suicide bombers got a £35,000 Government – a month before the anniversary of the 7/7 attacks. One member even praised a beheading video of British hostage Ken Bigley.

Celebrating St Georges day never even received 1% of the money those Muslim fanatic received. In 5 years Labour spent just £230 celebrating St Georges day. It seems no matter how much Labour say they love this country their actions speak for themselves and they show that they have a deep hatred for English people while giving money to those that support the bombing of innocent English people.
MPs lose their expenses

MPs just don’t seem to want to let us know what they have gotten up to these last few years. They are trying to keep their expenses under wraps so we don’t know what they have been spending our money on. They are succeeding at it too. They have shredded more than 1 million documents relating to their expenses so we will never know what they spent the money on.

For now they have succeeded in hiding their past expenses but they won’t be able to hide their future expenses however we do know some of what the money was spent on. For instance Commons Speaker Michael Martin has enjoyed visits to some of the world's most exclusive hotels at the taxpayers' expense and this same man is chairing the committee of MPs looking at their allowances. This is of course going to be a biased report if MPs are on the committee.

Thankfully Michael Martin isn’t being allowed to get away with it. Sir Christopher Kelly who is chairman of the Committee on Standards in Public Life threatened to hold an inquiry as he rightly believes MPs will be biased over their own expenses.

Pensioner poverty rises due to council tax hikes and soaring cost of living. The government should be ashamed of themselves.

MPs launch bid to lower voting age to 16. Most 16 year olds don’t care about politics.

Tourism minister storms out of reception after industry boss says UK's tourists are 'highest taxed in the world'. Labour doesn’t like hearing the truth.
Gordon Brown is a clever man

I blogged a few weeks ago that the Labour party is heavily in debt and the only thing keeping them solvent is donations from trade unions. The Unions are of course threatening to stop donating them money so Gordon has to do something.

Gordon Brown is an evil genius. The unions are crying out for another bank holiday while the rest of the country are beginning to hate the Labour party for their hatred of this country.

How would Gordon keep the support of the unions while looking patriotic? Gordon figured it out and is now trying to con us. He has decided that there will be a bank holiday to celebrate Britishness. This has of course nothing to do with celebrating britishness. It is just a way to keep the support of the unions so that they keep giving Labour money so that Gordon doesn’t have to go into debt to pay off Labour debts.

Their financial troubles are so bad they are making their own MPs pay £2200 to help to pay off their debts. That is how desperate they are.
Food shortages in Africa

The world is trying to make the West feel sorry for Africa again but we should not feel guilty for anything. It is their own fault that they are starving.

UN food agency chief Jacques Diouf moaned that billions are being wasted on feeding obese people in the West while millions starve around the world. Mr Diouf should realise that these people wouldn’t be starving if they stopped popping another kid out every chance they got. They would probably have enough food to go around if they just had 2 children to feed instead of a dozen.

If the population of the planet keeps on rising there is of course going to be more famines and more people will starve. To deal with the increasing population UN chief Ban Ki-moon has said that world food production must rise by 50% by 2030 to meet increasing demand but the thing is there will be more people who will require more living space and they will have to get it from somewhere. Undeveloped areas would have to be built on with houses but these areas could also be used for farms.

World food production won’t rise anywhere near as significantly as they want it to because it just can’t unless GM crops are used and even then it will still be difficult and it will be even more difficult in Britain as we will have less farms than we do already. We will then have to rely on foreign countries for our own food.

Countries like Ethiopia who have just received £10m in aid from us should be told they will not get anymore aid unless they put in population control measures to reduce their birthrate. Reducing their birthrate should be a condition of receiving anymore aid. If they don’t do it they will be told that they can starve the next time there is a famine in their country.
Immigrants don't take jobs apparently

The government doesn’t seem to know what they are talking about when it comes to immigration. Apparently East European immigrants don’t take British jobs - because Britons are 'unmotivated and uneducated'. The fact that it is the government’s fault that people are uneducated doesn’t seem to bother them.

The thing is the uneducated would be getting the lowest paid jobs which the Eastern Europeans are getting at present so they are taking jobs that Britons would like to do but why would you do them if your wages are going down while the cost of living is going up? Of course you would be unmotivated to do those jobs.

The government are obviously trying to justify their reckless policies that have seen £33 million in child benefit paid to immigrants whose children don’t even live in this country.

While the government can deny that immigrants put British workers out of business they have had to admit that in some parts of the country immigration is fuelling tensions in many areas of the country.
Immigrants want more translators

IMMIGRANTS who have settled in Nuneaton and Bedworth have hit out over interpretation and translation services in the borough.

They say family members - especially children - should not be used as interpreters at hospitals, GP surgeries and dental practices. And they have singled out Nuneaton's George Eliot Hospital for particular criticism.

But the hospital has hit back, insisting it takes "very seriously" its role in a multicultural society.

Also in line for criticism are agencies like the Nuneaton and Bedworth Citizens' Advice Bureau, whose boss maintains staff are "very sensitive" to the needs of black and minority ethnic (BME) groups in the borough.

If immigrants want translation services maybe they should start coughing up the money to pay for them. I don’t see any reason why more council tax should be paid just so these people don’t have to learn english.

News roundup 70

Recruitment drive for more black judges. What about white judges?

Hazel Blears, Communities Secretary, says sidelining of Christianity is 'common sense'. No it isn’t but you can hardly accuse labour of having common sense.

£230: That's how much Department for Culture spent promoting St George's Day in FIVE years. I bet they spend more of taxpayers money on a dinner in a single day.

Brown accused of ordering the 'sacking' of leadership rival's key aide. Brown is a dictator.

Labour crisis: Gordon Brown 'diverts rural aid to bribe voters'. Why does Labour punish those that don’t vote for them?

NHS scraps 16,000 operations to hit targets. Yet more Labour incompetence.

NHS has SURPLUS of £2billion in the bank after underspending. Will services improve? I think not…

Babies exposed to chlorinated water at risk of heart problems. Why is the government allowing us to drink poisoned water?

Nick Clegg: Polyclinics are being imposed across country. Of course they are. You don’t think people want them do you?

Patients could be forced to travel three times as far to see their GP under new plans for 'super surgeries'. If there isn’t good public transport in your area you will be screwed.

NHS reforms deliver no significant patient benefit. Of course they don’t. Labour is in charge.

The Indian call centre workers who turn to drugs to stay awake on the night shift. The call centres are only over there to exploit the workers. Some can only stay awake with drugs. Those companies should be ashamed.
Immigrants and crime

There is something seriously wrong with how we treat immigrant criminals. A prison to deal with foreign criminals released prisoners without proper preparation because it wrongly assumed they would be deported. If I was the prison governor I would have assumed the exact same thing.

They should have automatically been deported the first time they stepped foot outside prison but idiots in government don’t seem to think that way. Idiot judges are something else to watch out for because while they are idiots they make decisions which are dangerous. Judge Julian Hall ruled that an illegal immigrant who abused a young girl for three years was not dangerous and should be free to stay in the UK after going to prison for more than 5 years.

Why is this idiot allowed to be a judge? He is doing more harm than good. He should be removed as a judge immediately and Nurul Islam should be automatically deported when released.
Most immigrants here to stay

The majority of the two million immigrants to Britain since 1991 are here to stay, according to an analysis of official figures.

Most new arrivals come from 'Third World' areas such as Africa and India.

According to the Migrationwatch think-tank, which provided the analysis, people from this group are less likely to return home.

Only 8 per cent of immigrants between 1991 and 2006 came from the new European Union nations of Eastern Europe. They are entitled to move freely between the UK and their home country.

Labour don’t like to hear that their lies are no longer believed and they don’t like to hear immigrants give no benefit to this country at all. The House of Lords slapped down every single argument to justify immigration and the government decides they don’t want to hear it and that no amount of facts will get them out of their dream land.
Our water is being poisoned

CONTROVERSIAL plans to add fluoride to Southampton's water supply have been condemned by a green MEP.

Just weeks after Prime Minister Gordon Brown insisted water fluoridation would benefit the city's residents, Green MEP Dr Caroline Lucas, pictured above right, paid a personal visit to health chiefs to condemn the proposals.

In February Health Secretary Alan Johnson pledged an extra £14m for health authorities that want to add fluoride to their water supplies to boost dental health and the Prime Minister said he had "seen the benefits of fluoridation".

Dr Lucas has demanded the proposals to add the chemical to Southampton's water be dropped.
She said: "Water fluoridation has simply not been proven to be effective for teeth, particularly when the bad effects of dental fluorosis are taken into account.

If the government would like to give us better dental health they should be focusing on dentistry but instead 800,000 fewer people have access to NHS dentists.

Putting dangerous medication into the water supply is not the answer. The answer is to actually invest in dental health and give more people access to an NHS dentist.
