£110,000 well spent

After finding out that they didn’t know whether towels will stop you from slipping on a wet surface the Health and Safety executive decided to take a few trips to an amusement park. This was not pleasure. It was strictly business. They spent £110,000 on the research so you would think that they would come to some interesting conclusions. Unfortunately that was not the case.

The 140 page report found that passengers on amusement rides often stick their hands above their heads to enhance the thrill. Another of the study's main findings is that children like to wave to their parents as they whizz round on carousels.
