EU wastes £3 million

The EU seems to have so much money that it doesn’t know what to do with it. Well that can be the only conclusion that you can come to after reading this story.

The EU has decided to spend £3 million setting up a Facebook rival site which goes live in October. They want politicians from 27 member states to join new social networking website myparl.eu to share ideas and have debates.

The thing is the EU don’t like debates so they will probably try to silence any of the anti EU MEPs who try to create a profile and spread factual news about the EU. Anyone caught criticising the EU will probably be banned but it might be nice to try. I don’t yet have a Facebook profile (I know – where have I been…) but it might be fun to create a profile on the EU site and start criticising the EU at every opportunity to see what happens.
